Comes from Nova Scotia.  I get called every couple of days asking if 'the lady of the house' is home.  I work so my daughter keeps trying to find out who is calling.  They just hang up.  So rude!  If they wans to talk to me at least have the decency to leave a message.

Today was the first time we received this call Nov. 14th, 2008 at 3:45 p.m. Edmonton time. Call display on the phone was Nova Scotia-PEI.
We know of no one in those provinces, so we didn't answer the phone, no message was left. We too are registered with the Canadian Do Not Call.

It comes from Family Films. They use many numbers to get their calls through. Their intentions are good, but their constant calls become too much.

I answered this phone call and the girl asked for me by name.  I, of course, said I wasn't home because I didn't know who it was, and when I asked if there was a message she said "oh no, it's just Melissa" I called the number back and it says "You've reached the Canadian and United Kingdom office of feature films for families.  If you know the extension for the person you are trying to reach..."

I also want to say that the girl was very friendly and acted like she was a friend of mine, just calling like she normally would for a friendly chat...

Feature Films for Families actually has some really good family-friendly movies especially if you have kids.

I am getting so I don't trust anyone who calls me.  Feature FAmily Films has good children's films. and good movies.  and no cursing like most of the ones in theatres these days

Feature Films for Families is a Utah-based company that produces family-friendly movies (no profanity, sexuality, violence, or vulgarity; but lots of traditional family values and morality). It is run largely by members of the "Latter-day Saints" (Mormons), however it is a private company that is NOT a non-profit charity (they are in business to make money). While the movies are good they may be a little overpriced, so you'll want to find out the prices before listening to the tele-marketer's whole sales pitch. Feature Films for Families has violated Missouri’s No Call law and has been sued by Verizon Wireless for illegal automated telemarketing.

They call from many different phone numbers. I have compiled a list of their phone numbers (but it's probably very incomplete). Here is my list of phone numbers used by Feature Films for Families:

We also get calls from this number and they just ask it the lady of the house is in.  Then they hang up.  Why cant the telephone company trace this number and stop these unwanted calls.  We are worried what else is going on behind the scenes by those making the calls.

Call 1-800-family-tv ext 243, you get customer service and ask to be taken off the call list. They call from many different numbers, hope this stops them all.

I received 2 text messages from this number which reads..."Hey its the dude garrett from my year book :).   The first came in on 07/10/11 at 1:44 AM!!!!! the next (same identical verbage) came in on 7/10/11 at 2:49 pm.

I responded that I didn't know him, and sure didnt know him at that hour of the morning. I also asked that he not text me again. Let's see how that goes.
