Received a call from this number and when I said " hello " , there was a pause at the other end and whoever it was disconnected.

Woke me up, looked at the number didn't know who it was so I didn't pick up. Called about the same time too.

Some person using this number calls my home looking for my husband, wanted to know when he will be home, would not give out information in regards to the call says it's not important also stated that he calls every year which I find a bit odd as I always look at the caller id and this is the first time this number came up. Just find it very odd.....Getting a little freaked out do to wanting to find the time frame my husband would be home.

Very persistent. Called 3 times today already.I ignore all calls with "Unknown Name" with the logic that they must have something to hide!

The same guy has phoned my home today and once Dec 17. Always ask if husband at home and knows my husbands first name.
I blocked his number.

Most likely a debt collector, keeps calling asking for the previous tenant.

GT GROUP TELECOM SERVICES CORP. is the name listed on the internet...so it is just spam calls...jerks! I am on the no call list so I will report them.

Called 15 times, all hours of the day and night, won't leave a message. Very weird.

I have been getting 2 or 3 calls per day from these 482-xxxx numbers for months. Normally we don't pick them up anymore but occassionally do when expecting a call from someone else. These are fund raising calls all apparently from the same company who have us on a list from past charitable donations. They can represent numerous different charities. The problem is they get your name and number from you making one donation to a group, then they target you for all their clients.

If it comes up on call display as 902-482-xxxx  Don't answer it unless you are feeling generous.

In relation to the practice of asking for a particular person in the household or even just hanging up when you do answer. . . they always try to talk to one specific person only. They usually have a profile on the person that they refer to so they can push the right buttons and get the most money out of you. If they are looking for a female in the house and a man answers, (or vice versa) they often will just hang up and try again later. No sense wasting time talking to someone who doesn't fit the profile and may not contribute.

Remember these companies are often paid a percentage of what they raise.
