i just got a call from the same number.   any intel on it?

nevermind, it is capitol accounts.   a company out of texas.   debt collectors.

Interesting....I got calls simultaneously on my cell phone and my landline.  Neither left a message, so I do not know who it is.  I suspect it is from the leftover medical expenses from my husband's emergency surgery --- no job = no money....anyone in the same boat?

Capital Accounts out of Nashville, TN - They are a collection agency - I did owe the amount they started so I paid it.  No threats or anything like that but he did say at first that they had called me a number of times (like 15 to 20 times) and that I had never answered.  BUT, I did answer this number and another number they use 606-262-4728, and now that I see these numbers, I realize how sneaky they are - when I answered, it is always dead air.  No one was ever on the other line, and I always hung up.  

So as I was talking to the CSP, (who is just doing his job) and  he said they tried contacting me - I countered with "Do you answer phone calls from unknown numbers?" - He said he didn't.  And then I said, that neither of these numbers come up under Caller ID and he said that is because they are a collection agency....that they are highly regulated now.  Fine.  Then he said he would clear my Credit Report (all three agencies) within 6 weeks, but for them to do that, he would have to charge me a $5.00 service fee.  After we were all done, he said he could clear my name and my credit.  Not for a second do I believe them.

I got simultaneous calls too!  I answered one, it was dead air, but the other one had a live person for a change.  Mine is also leftover medical expenses from a  scheduled surgery, but like you, I lost my job and we are living lean.  I paid this off cuz it was a small debt.

I thought medical expenses couldn't be reported on your credit. Well at least not in Texas anyway.

Called back wouldn't give co. info so I called them 4 times and demanded a co. name... Fat chance!
What if we called back again and again from different phones? All day till they had no band width??????

I am sick of them bothering me for a deadbeat I don't even know.

Jan, did they clear your credit report? Did they remove the collections from your report?
Is that possible? Once they post it to your credit report, can they undo it?

Medical bills DO go on your credit report in the state of Texas.

Just got a call from this number. Didn't leave a message.... I'm at work, so yeah... Can't answer. I'll try to call it back, but we'll see lol. I do have an open medical bill (just had my first baby!) buuuuuuut I'm not made of money, so they can wait until I have enough to pay... And even then, I don't do phone calls. They're going to have to send me some legitimate paper work, otherwise they're not getting anything from me.

The answer to your question, Tonya is, Yes they can and do get reported to your credit...even in Texas. Most everything that is bad on my wifes credit is from medical expenses. The way I think they get around not reporting medical on your credit is to send it to collections, which can be placed on the credit report. On the other hand, no one is supposed to use unpaid medical bills as a reason from denying credit, which I think is a law.

I just got a call from this number: (903 – 484-9278).  I have had Soooooooo many calls from this collection agency and apparently others looking for the person that must have had my cell # previously.  I have asked NUMEROUS times for them to remove my # from their database.  I have tried very much to be nice and to provide them with information to assure them that I am NOT the individual they are looking for.  

Today I had a call and started to explain the situation to the gentleman calling me.  He got LOUD and said that HE has never called.  I started to ask him to make certain that my # is removed from their database.  Before I could get the words out, he rudely hung up on me……   It REALLY pisses me off when a business that has called ME, hangs up and is not willing to listen to me.  So I immediately called the number back.  Another “gentlemen” answered the phone.  I identified myself and told him about the rude hang-up that had just occurred.  He stated that he had been recording and monitoring the call and that their person did “nothing wrong”.   I told them that I disagreed with that and asked for the name of his company.  He responded in a LOUD voice that “It is none of your business” and abruptly disconnected.

Does anyone know who this collection company is, and do you have their contact information?  I would like to report their rude behavior to the Better Business Bureau or someone that can do something with their total lack of customer service?  Again, these people are calling US!!   They should be willing to listen to us and not be RUDE!  Do we have any legal recourse??

Just got a call from these remarkably charming people...at 8:16 AM, my phone says.  I see here that they're a collection agency.

I live in California.  Do these people realize that I live in a different time zone, and that, while it has been nice and bright and busy for them in Texas, we're still just getting the day started out here!?

I would really love to nail these jerks with a lawsuit, just for calling in the morning like this.  Do they honestly expect me to answer the phone when they call before I am even ready to deal with NICE people, let alone the class of scum they are!?

I just tell callers like that if they don't know their own name then my phone don't talk to them. If they want to talk me they must show a name and number on my phone ID.
I just received a call from 903-484-9278 showed unknown name. I looked the number up and it showed it was in Wheeler Texas. I answered and there was no one on the other end. Now I am going to file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry. That does seem to help a lot. I always wonder why we never get any calls like this from our local city.

I receive calls from 903-484-9278 from a collection agency about my son. I have explained to them that he has not resided at this address in FIVE YEARS..please stop calling. But, alas it does not work.Is there anything one can do to stop people like this?

Capital Accounts...615-301-1724...903-484-9278....770-872-0993...256-693-2794...281-857-6690....606-262-4728...are all numbers they use to contact you.  I have only been on their radar for about a month and a half and these are some of the numbers that they have called from.  I have told them I have an atty to handle my money matters due to losing my job & home & am struggling to just have a place to live.  They don't care & call very early as well as very late.  RUDE!!!! Good luck you guys!

They called asked for someone with the same last name, ask if I knew the person.. blah blah blah, fishing for anything.. Isn't it illegal to pick my name and number out of some list just cause I have the same last name as someone else?? they never did tell me who they were, I found this website.

well I owed a dr's bill from a while ago that I forgot about.
I called them back and paid it because it wasn't much but she said she could "expunge" this item from credit report if i paid today and asked for my email addy since they will notify me when they mail out the letters and said it could take up to 20 days. I will definitely check.

They were actually nice, but erasing the item off the credit report must be a trick because I bet they have to write a letter saying that the item reported was in error... clever

They call my phone constantly asking for Dennis Andrews.  I told them there was no one here by that name and they said that was impossible because that had spoken with him on this number in February and that calls would persist.  I finally got someone on the phone that claimed they would remove my number but I guess we will see.
