This number called, but when I answered, it was silence. I even tried calling it back - and the automated message came on "The number you are trying to reach has been disconnected or is no longer in service."  

Hello...this is Rachel...I'm calling about your credit card. There are no problems, but you can change your existing rate, etc. etc....I hung up then. She used to call my house phone years ago...now she's back on my cell phone! Arrgh~

When answered there was no one on the other end.

Further research showed that the number goes to a Valor Telcom office in gary, tx. It says da windstream comm. So if you're a windstream customer...that may be the source of your problem.

Just ignored a calm from this number,  vm was silence.

Called while i was in class but did not leave a vm.

Waited on the line to tell them to remove me because I am on the DO NOT CALL list. The man on the phone said with a VERY sarcastic tone, "Mmm, I have no way of doing that." This is the third time I have gotten this call today, so I am filing paperwork to have the company fined and money sent my way. Thank you for putting money into my pocket!

No.   Valor is just the common carrier.   This caller is a well know scammer using the Credit card interest scheme.
Many previous have been busted and each time,   a new one pops up using the same scheming tactics.
They are low life thieves.

Good luck with that Syn.  This scammer uses "spoofed"  caller ID and hidden identities.  A few have been busted in the past,   the latest operated out of the Asian area.  Go ahead and report the calls but get a call blocker because they will never stop calling you and your chances of any legal action  is subzero.

Called just now.  Did not answer.  No VM left.

This is the 6th time I have waited to get a live person to take me off their list.  Operator was sooo rude said i had to be an adult and ignore the call.  When is the consumer going to have a true recourse from these phone calls.  Most of them allow an opt out option but not these folks.  I have run out of numbers to block on my phone from these kind of calls.  There seems to be NO end to it anymore.
