caller said my pc may be infected by virus that my virus protection may not detect. wanted me to go online so he can see   told him no thanks

Called yesterday. Looks to be the old PC virus scam. Do not fall for this!

Called at lunch break, indicated that PC was infected with virus that cannot be deleted without the help of 'the international organization'

These guys are not even too smart.  Calling for a scam via Cell Phone.  Indian accent with tons of transient noise.  I told them in a few words what they could do.

Got the same call,listened for 10 minutes then hung up- I said to them "So you must be calling thousands of people with this problem / and they said yes

got the same call 10 mins ago. I think this guy surfs the internet for name and number. Definitely Indian but brute and probably little stupid.

The caller id says Amanda Hunczak since I don't know any Amandas I didn't answer

Let the answering machine pick up, idiot started having a conversation with the machine "Hello this is William how are you tonight?  Hello?  Can you hear me?"...morons.

My computer is sending you an error message? How? What kind of computer do I own? How stupid do you think I am?

I just received a call. Hopefully it does not affect anything.

I answered and a male with an Indian accent said Good Evening Richard how are you doing. When I responded it all depends on why you are calling, he hung up. Darn!

Guy tried playing the same PC infected problem.  Don't do anything!

Just called here. Didn't feel like toying with him right now. I laughed, said "you're funny" and hung up.

Some guy with an unidentified accent said he was calling from iSecure (or some such thing) and was calling about my computer.  Immediately recognizing it as a scam, I blurted out, "F*&^# you, you scam-artist."  He was saying something as I slammed the receiver back down.  These peope are scammers.  DO NOT FALL FOR IT!  They have no way of magically knowing your computer is infected but, do what they say, and your computer likely will become infected... and they'll happily sell you the software to clean out the virus they put in.

Just received similar phone call from Amanda Hunczak - heavy accent, finally made out she was calling about a virus in my computer.  Told her, "not interested" and hung up.

I also got the same call. In fact, they called me twice. I told them I don't own a PC. (We own a Mac). They hung up.

Just got a call and figured a scam. After a few minutes of pretending to follow her instructions I told her I was off line. Her response " Your off line, why are you wasting my time." Then she hung up on me.

told me my computer has generated "more than 1000 error messages in the last 2 weeks"  When I said I didn't believe him, he said it's a computer registered to (my name), "Is that you?"  I hung up.

Same as above messages except this time it was a woman with a Slavic accent.  I told her we had virus protection and she said it wasn't a virus, but an infection.  At that point, I hung up.

A male called from wireless #904-207-2881 & asked for me.  He said he was from ITS (? his English was hard to understand)& they did a survey & found out that a large # of people in my area are downloading viruses.  I asked him to repeat his co. name a couple times & he said they are in Austin, TX.  He told me to please turn on my computer & he'll tell me how to check it.  I kept questioning him & he was very persistant.  I finally hung up on him!  

I searched that ph. # online & saw links to other complaints, some of which said the Caller ID said Amanda Hunczak.  My search also showed a link to the website for Designing Events, Inc. of FL, which lists this as their ph. #  http://designingeventspro.com/contact.htm
