Caller said he was calling in regards to my Microsoft computer, saying that my computer was hacked, and was requesting information regard my computer.  Before giving him any information, I asked him for his name and a number incase we get cut off and he hung up on me.

Got a call Friday didn't pick up. They are now on my block call list.

Called January 5th, multiple times in row, no answer on callback

Alex from Canada calls, FL area code, babbling about some corrupt files on my computer, obvious scam, I ended call quick. I see Mr. Alex is also renting property "by owner" in FL. His heavy India accent sounds like it has some London area accent too. Total scam. Here is "Alex's" house for rent:

A google search found this ad in a few seconds, same phone number.

Called my cell twice yesterday. I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. This is why I screen ALL calls now and rarely answer my home phone. Last time I "chatted" with (translation: messed with) these "Microsoft" people, the caller became incredibly lewd and inappropriate, commenting on my undergarments and various body parts. Of course, you can't stop these people. They just get another temporary, unlisted number and keep calling. I hope there's a special place in Hell for these a$$hats!

got a call from 904-256-9233 (FLA) saying i had some bad files on my computer, and i could be hacked if not fixed, so i felt like playing and told the guy i do not own a computer and had no idea what he was talking about, i then hung up on him, if you try to call back it will go to voice mail. dont answer it SCAM, or have fun with it hehehehehe

This is so funny. I just got a call from William about the same thing. Once he said anything about our computer I told him I was not close to it so give me is name and number and I would call him back. He was from Canada Technology and his number was 1-904-256-9233. Called back to see and it had a fast busy. Imagine that.

Total SCam....it came up on my phone as UNKNOWN and i answered it just because i wanted to have a little fun. When he started telling me my computer had stopped working microsoft programs i started laughing. he said would you turn on your computer. i said "how do i do that?" anyways...i asked him if people really go through these steps and he just kept acting like he didnt hear me.  I got his information and said..."ok, ill CALL YOU when i figure out how to turn my computer on!"

SCAM ARTISTS! i hate that they do this stupid crap to people that dont get it.

just got a call from this number.  guy named jordan.  my computer had corrupt files on it.  I wouldnt do anything to my computer.  He said he knew how it worked.  I replied.  so did i.  he kept on, i told him no and hung up.  he tried to call me back.  i sent it to voice mail.  He gave me address of 8288A1A HIGHWAY SOMETHING RADO BEACH FLORIDA.  WHAT A JOKE LOL

This guy is still at it, still claiming to be from Canada Technology. Wants me to go home and look at my windows event log. He said I'll see a lot of errors from some generic service. (I haven't looked at a windows event log in a long time, but if I remember correctly that's kind of common and nothing to be alarmed about.) He was very persistent. He told me that Microsoft was watching my logs, and I had exceeded some error threshold so they referred me to his company. I insisted that I wanted to verify some details on his company, like a website I could visit. When he wouldn't give me that, I told him he didn't sound very trustworthy, and he hung up pretty quickly.
