This number belongs to "Global Arbitration and Process Servers," according to the machine that answers. It is a collection agency masquerading as "special investigators," and state in their message that there is a "restraining order" against you. When you call, you'll talk with a person claiming to be a "special investigator" and they will tell you that there have been "several attempts to serve you" with a subpoena (there haven't), and to "spare you the embarrassment of being served at your workplace," they will set up a payment plan. The "special investigator" will then put you on hold while she "transfers" you to the "claims" department. When the "claims" person picks up, they do not identify themself, but their voice is EXACTLY like the "special investigator"'s ... scummy collection practices, meant to threaten and scare people into setting up payment plans.

I received a call from a family memeber letting me know that she had received a message for me and it sounded important..I called her # and listened to the message they left me...Like other people on here it was a woman telling me that there was a restraining/order of protection against me and gave me a case # and told me to have my lawyer call them for more information.  When I called the # she left it was Global Arbitration and Process Servers...After waiting on hold for 15 minutes I hung up and googled the # and found some really useful information from other people who had received calls from the same #....I live in Iowa so why would someone from Florida be calling me about a restraining order??  I don't know anyone in Florida nor have I ever been to Florida...Scam, Scam, Scam....

They called from a unknown number and stated that someone had made a complaint against me, and if I knew what was best for me, I'd call back. My husband and his mother have received their own harassing calls, but these monsters are saying the are part of the sheriffs office and they are coming to arrest them if they don't comply.

Thank God for these WhoCallsMe boards; they have been so helpful in the past & now just by entering the phone number into Google. The message for this number was left on my answering machine; what made it sound like it *might* be legitimate is that the caller had my full name, which is rather unsettling. That bothers me. I won't post my full real name here :-) but call myself Milton Drake. I will post the caller's name although I'm sure it's fictitious. I couldn't understand all of the words but wrote down the message as follows: "Milton Drake, this is special investigator Marcus Wright. I am contacting you in regards to a complaint being filed against you for [???] claim and affidavit #B2O1701 where you have been named as a respondent in a court action and must appear. I have a contact number on file which you must call to receive information pertaining to your case: 904-270-9922 is that number. Please [?forward?] this number to your attorney in order to [???] can take the restraining order. [?And?] you or your attorney will have 24 to 48 hours to [?claim?] this matter. The claim affidavit number once again is B2O1701. Thank you and good day, Milton Drake." I could also hear other callers in the background. Now that I know it's a scam, I will answer if they call again and tell him/her I've reported them to the FBI & they can KMA!

I received this same call. I called and they tried to make what they called "settlement arrangements" claiming I owed $1300.00 to a company called Household Renaissance Fresh. They then tried to obtain my checking account number and reduce the amount to $750.00. They claimed I could save myself, my company and co-workers embarrasement by taking care of this today.   I refused to provide any information and she promptly told me that they would go ahead  and issue the supoena and if I missed the court date that the amount would be tripled and if I was pulled over for any reason that I would be arrested. I filed a complaint with the Florida State Attorney's office.

We got the same number.  I first filed a complaint at the National Do Not Call Registry as I am not the person they are trying to reach.  Second, I filed a complaint with the N.C. Attorney General citing unethical collection practice, harrassment, scare tactics, and misuse of federal telecommunication lines.  We stop them by filing complaints.  NC Attorney Roy Copper and other state attorney generals are able to shut down such operations when they get sufficient and numerous responses from citizens.  Get mad, but also get even and get busy.

I have gotten these same phone calls. After the first call, I gave them all my information. After thinking it over that night I went to my bank the next more to close the account and open a new one. One month later they are calling me and telling me that they "will proceed with misdomener or fellony charges". I once again call them back and tell them I want everything in writing. The lady on the other line said "ma'am the attitude is not needed and you are being a [***]" When I once again told them I wanted everything in writing she stated " we will do one better, we will give you writing in front of a judge!" and hung up.

    Not a DUMMY
My sister, here in Illinois received the exact same message for me!  A TRACY JORDAN, 904-270-9922 called and said there's a restraining order against me and that I needed to call them back.  Not only is is unsettling that they have MY whole name AND BIRTHDATE, but they got my HALF sister's name and HOME NUMBER and we don't even live in the same city.  I called back and as soon as the girl told me she's trying to collect a debt, I said "I'm sure that you're aware that the FTC has rules that require you to identify yourself as a debt collection agency and that you can't say it's for a 'restraining order'", she hung up.  I called back and I said "can you at least give me the full name and address of your company, more details about what I'm supposedly being sued for, anything?"  She said "nope you can find out on the subpoena when we see you in court"; so I said "I'm trying to make a good-faith effort to call you back"  She said "I have a lot of other people waiting" and HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN.  So I CALLED BACK.  This time, I waited on hold for 15 minutes and then a man answered.  He gave me some phoney address and then hung up.  I truly believe this is a scam-they said I owed Orchard Valley Visa $1400 BUT I'VE NEVER HAD A CREDIT CARD WITH THIS COMPANY.  THIS IS A SCAM AND I AM REPORTING IT TO THE FBI AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA IMMEDIATELY!
