This is a scam number. They are out sourced using phone jacks (online dialing). They are not government investigators by any means and they change there numbers often and harass people. If you ever filled out a payday loan or online forum of some sort, most likely that is how they get your information. Unfortunately, even if you say you are not said person, they will keep calling. Since they are outsourced laws are different... so it is best to change your number. I work for a company and they been calling for the same person 1 year every time by different numbers even though the person hasn't worked her for 3 years.

I too got a phone call from these people. The person said his name was John Smith and he had a legal action againest me and was coming to my house to arrest me.I called the number back and they said the person's mail box was full. I don't know how they got my info. None of what they said  is true. I have filled out things on -line so this must be how they got my number. The sad thing is you report them to the phone company,better buisness,and my local officals and nothing can ever be done for they change their numbers and stories every few months. I am at the point of changing my number.

George Schneider (heavy middle eastern accent) calling to collect $512 dollars by Wisa card (I think he meant Visa) for a legal matter that he said he would download to the state with a Federal ID # unless I paid for the matter today.

He trys to read something that resembles Unites States law, but it is really just a bunch of non-sense...

This is a complete fraud and a complete joke...

If you want to have some fun with it, ask them to re-read the complaint over and over again...  Or tell them you have Discover Card, but no Wisa....  Much fun....

they called me like tow weeks afer i filled out an application and never finished it . now i owe them money i never got or wanted or tried for. they tell me im gettting arrested unless i pay them and that john smith needs my card munber and will mail me paper work. im scared to death but please someone tell me this cant happen i never did anything and i want left alone!!!!!!

As far as you being arrested NOT  they have to inform you in WRITING of a court date FIRST

I received a called form this number this past week and the guy had a very strong accent stating his name is John Smith (officer), if I do not return his call he's going to send the sheriff out and lock me up behind bars.

If she is a shill, why would she be afraid after not falling for it?

Said his name was John and he was from the FBI... That there is an arrest warrant out for me. They have used so far 911,(631) 624-9030, (904) 300- 2556, (973) 915-7737...He said I'm under investigation for fraud and there is an arrest warrant out for me.. When I told him to come get me he hung up.

This has happened to me several times from some form I filled out and never filed. It's all a scam don't freak out about it and worry. Just make sure they don't have your bank account info and watch your account closely. They did get mine and withdrew $50 bucks is all. I went to the bank closed my account and opened a new one. Since it was a scam my bank gave me the money back. Other than that it's just annoying. The advice I had received from my local law enforcement was to just ignore the calls and don't argue with them if you happen to answer because they won't stop then. I never answer and it usually quits for a few months and starts in again. It's just annoying your not in trouble.

My daughter received a call from this number stating that this was an officer from the present advising a judgment against her.  Since the phone number was not recognized as one of my local present number I proceeded to check it out.

I got 2 calls today from the same place and then another that reports the call as a 911 returned #. They keep calling and asking me for my name.

The first time they called an indian gentleman told me he was a sherrif. I asked in what town and state and what this was pertaining too, He said he was investigating monies owed. THE POLICE NEVER GET INVOLVED WITH CREDIT CARD OR LOANS. I told him that I was in law enforcement and this was illegal. He still called back, Block the # and report it to the police :) I did.

Just received a call from an Office Rickie Johnson from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation calling on a legal matter.....what a hoax!!!  Please don't reply to any of these calls.

Call is from Emergency 911, they threatened to arrest me, they said it was a federal matter, that they were going to issue a warrant, come to my house or place of employment to arrest me if I did not call them back to get this matter settled.  They also said that they were from the Texas State Police (which there is none).  The call back # they gave was 904-300-255, ext 9747 (Ricky Johnson).
