Florida police association looking for donations.

Received call in New Jersey, Florida police asking for donations... supposedly.

Received call from this number and twice I responded with "Hello" with out any response.

Received call about once a week.  No one there when I answer

Same here, Police looking for donations, not sure if it a scam or not. Better not give them a penny.

Got a call from them begging for money claiming it was for a state of Florida police orginazation. Police do not solicit money over the phone BEWARE.

Probably a legitimate telemarketer soliciting funds for the State Police.  Problem is, most of the donation goes to the telemarketer............

scam or not,  I wouldn't give them a dime.

Just received a call from that number.  However, we screen all calls so did not answer it.  No message was left.

I get a call from this number about once a week.  Last week they were soliciting a contribution for the police association of Florida.  It is a scam, I informed them I was on a do not call list for soliciting, they offered magazine subscriptions, so therefore they were not considered telemarketers.  I messed with him awhile until he hung up on me.  Thought that would stop the calls but I guess not.

They appear legitimate (ie legal), but my research showed that in the neighborhood of 90% of funds go to fundraising.

Yeah, they call me every few months. I ignore the calls until they stop, but they always start up again. It's annoying. I can donated to my local PBA and more of the money will go to the people it's supposed to help.

this number calls several times a week for months.Idont answer because Idont know who.never leave message so I know its not legit.

Someone called today at 2:49 PM and my answering machine picked up.  They did not leave a message and the caller ID said V50114494300046.  My phone number is registered on the national and Florida Do Not Call Lists and I reported this call to.  However these are probable scammers and WILL NOT abide by the DNC List!

They called me again this evening at 6:15 PM with a different "V" number.  This time they used V50318155600046.  This still has SCAM written all over it!!!
