- Norman Johnson| 1 replyMy daughter received a call on her cell phone from a man claiming to be from "Cash Advance America". He had a strong middle eastern accent perhap from India. He had her correct first and last names, but could not pronounce her last name correctly. He said she had a payday loan that had not been paid and they were starting legal action. He was very intimidating and kept saying this was not a scam. He claimed to have her Social Security Number, but she did not stay in the conversation long enough to find out if he did. She suspected a scam, so she asked for his number, which he gave as 904-383-4379. She did not call him back, but called me instead. I have reported it to Verizon.

- RodI got the same call. "Jeffry Stewart" said "his client" was filing a law suit against me for a $500 pay day loan and that I needed to give them my lawyer's name. When I told that that was simply imposible, but to feel free to simply send me the paperwork and I would be happy to pass it on to my attorney, he said that "the law" required I give him my lawyer's number and that he is not allowed to send any paperwork to my house unless he first sends an investigative team over. He was very confrontational and hard to understand.
Total scam.- Caller: Carlson Law Firm

- JulieJust received a call from a guy by the name of Jerry Stuart (very strong middle eastern accent) at my work number no less - asking for Julie (last name) correct and if I had an attorney - when I stated yes - he stated that he was calling me as I owed money for something, I just cleaned up my credit and there is nothing on my credit report- so I didn't think this was real. I told him that when he could learn to speak fluent English to where I could understand him - he could call me back. He harassed me at work until I had a co-worker answer my phone and take a message. I did a reverse phone look up and there is nothing he also stated he was from Carlson Law Firm - nothing on line to support this. His number is 904.383.4379. TOTAL SCAM and he was such a prick too.

- DebK| 1 replyReceived a phone call from Frank Miller of Carlson's Law Firm, 904-383-4379. The voice mail message stated that I was involved in a civil law suit for fraud and that Frank would be available to guide me through the process. I called Frank back. He wanted my full name but I gave him my last name and he said that there was any logged information by that name.
- Caller: Carlson's Law firm
- DebK replies to DebKFrank had a heavy middle eastern accent. He stated he worked for a law firm in Florida. When I wouldn't provide him with my full name he hung up on me. Good riddance, you rat [***]..
- AHyerI have been receiving phone calls from a Jeffery Stewert. He has a heavy middle eastern accent and tells me that the call is reguarding a law suit that has been filed against me and involves my social security number. I thought to myself that no suit can be filed without informing all parties involved, since I have not received any paperwork and have not done anything worth being sued over, I knew it was fishy right off the bat. I tried calling back after reading about the other phone calls that have been received by many people to see what would happen, no answer, "all represenitives are busy, please leave you name and number and we'll get back to you". I'm just going to ignore them.

- Mimi replies to oscarSame thing here. Carlson Law Firm - Said his name was San Marshall. I called my attorney and he said it was a scam. The man had a Middle Eastern Accent like one of the other messages said and I could here children in the background. He said the loan had been from my computer IP address ******. but he said it so fast I could not get it to check to see if it really was right and he would not repete it. He said he was too busy and didn"t have time.
- MimiI had a call and the man said he was from the Carlson Law Firm ( I wonder if this Law firm knows they are using their name. There is a Law Firm with this name.) he said his name was Stan Marshall. HE said I had a law suit against me and my SS. He did know my correct mailing address but I have never recieved anything from them. The man told me the loan was takenout in December and I had not paid it. I would NEVER take out a loan on the Internet! He said it was from my IP address but he said it so fast I could not write it down. When I aske him to repete it he said he was too busy to repete things and was I going to court or going to pay it. He did have my name and mailing address correct. I told him he would be talking to my attorney. I called my attorney who looked it up and said it was a scam, but if I received anything in the mail to bring it in.

- Concerned Reader| 1 replyMy wife started getting these calls yesterday. I knew it was a scam all along. My wife thinks it might be from a recent purchase on Amazon.com. She bought a DVD. Did anyone else getting this call recently buy from Amazon or puchase a DVD online? Just trying to track down where he got our information.

- ConcernedI just got a call from this number too 904 383 4379 - a guy with a heavy accent - sounds like he called from a cell with noise in background. He said his name was Steven Smith and was from Carlson Lawfirm as well just like the other people stated. I was shocked when I read this - I actually just took a chance by google-ing the number and surprised to see the complaints listed. He said the call was for my mother (who lives with me) and that she was listed as a primal suspect in a case against her name and her SSN# and to call them back urgently. Before reading these posts I actually did call back and asked them to return my call - I'm waiting for them to return the call.
