This person claimed they were a government offcial demanding payment on a loan that I never took out from Cash Advance? He "Ricky Watson" called me place of employmet and insisted that i would be prosecuted if I did not comply.

When I let them know that I knew that they were scam artists they hung up on me.

I just got this call, now that I know it's a scam.I will be sure to let them know not to call me again.

I called this number to see what it was about and a indian accent person answered the phone and said his name was Paul Smith and he was the senior officer of the Law firm and that he had all my information and he demanded money up front for a loan I never took out!  I am so fustrated cause he had all my info, but I did not say anything!  But he keeps calling and he dare tells me to not interupt him when speaking! Such intimidation!

These guys said they were looking for a friend of mine and said they would prosecute ME if i didn't get ahold of this person. I asked what company they were three times and they wouldn't tell me. SCAM is right.

Yeah, that's the way they work. I had Portfolio Recovery call my sister and tell her they were going to take her house if I didn't pay my debt. FOOLS!!! The scariest thing about that is that Portfolio is a legit collection agency, they just don't know the FDCPA. So, even though they are full of it when they say they will prosecute you, they may be an actual collection agency. Unfortunately, they wouldn't tell you where they were from so they more than likely are not a real agency. I'm having the same problem with a "company" called Weinberg, Cockran, Coulson and Irwin. These people are such jerks; I asked the guy from WCCI how he sleeps at night with the "job" he's doing. HA!

Calling as "Jeffry Boyd". I told him that his accent was very unusual for someone of that name and asked him what part of the country he was from.

Launched into his scam -- a friend of mine took out a loan and put me down as a reference, blah blah blah.

I just told him that I had absolutely no idea who he was talking about. Of course he knew I was lying, but what could he do? One scam deserves another, I always say.

Jeffrey Boyd called to say that I am being sued. He didn't give the name of the company and then couldn't provide me with information. After telling him about his company coanstantly calling and giving him my attorneys info he stated that we can work something out. Please don't fall for this scam!!!!!!
They prey on the fact that hopefully you will resolve the matter and pay them instead of digging into the fact that they are buying your information from surveys or loans that you fill out and then try to act as though they are from a government entity to resolve the matter without risking prosecution. Again, DON'T FALL FOR IT"
