Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

My area code is 650 which is in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I received a call from 904-638-5276 several times already.  Most of the time, they don't leave a message, but today, April 8, 2015, they did.  My answering machine may have missed the beginning of the message, but this is the rest of the message.

"US Treasury intending your serious attention, Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid an issue appearance before a magistrate judge, or a grand jury, or a federal criminal offense. My number is 904-638-5276. I repeat 904-638-5276. I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you."  says an Indian male with a foreign accent.  If you have spoken to a lot of Indians, you know that this is bad Indian English.

Seven recorded calls on my recorder earlier this evening. All of the messages were all the same with some thick accented Indian sounding man claiming that I was in sort of trouble with the US Treasury. I really wish I could've answered one of these calls. I would've given the caller holy hell! Virtually all of these scams originate in Africa (Nigeria) and in India. The same goes for the email scams. I wish all of those people behind those scams would be obliterated from the face of this planet.

I have received 4 calls this morning already.  The same person each time.  I tried to pickup the phone while he was leaving a message and he would not respond.  Either it was a recording or he does not stop once he starts to leave a message.

I have received several of these calls just today.  So, I called these idiots, and they were stupid enough to answer the phone..."U.S. Treasury".  I said "So, I am actually talking to the US Treasury.  Apparently we has some guy who can hardly speak english answering the main phone line at the Treasury Department. When I challenged him, he hung up.  I felt like I was in the old SNL skit 'Landshark'.  Too funny.
