A debt collector warned that I will be arrested if I don't pay half the debt by 12am.

Got the same call - said that I would be exonerated if I paid over $500 by credit card or debit card in the next 2 hours.  If I didn't pay by that point, it would be $200 higher due to "fees".

I got a call from this same number...Sharon Jackson was her name. I asked her what company she was with. She states that she prepares the reports to send out to the counties. She also stated that felony charges were being filed against me unless I come up with 611.57 within the next hour.  This was the first call that I got from her. I asked a lot of questions and she still didn't give me a company name. She also gave me some Western Union information.  Code City was NAPC, State was FLorida.  Attn: Clearance. States that this would stop her from turning in warrant to my county's office. Now mind you, she called at 3p.m. She told me that the debt was due by 4:15. She states that she was Head of the Fraud and Legal Division.  She told me that if I didn't pay, I would have to suffer the consequences. She also threatened to contact my supervisor and tell her about the debt, which is a direct violation of Fair Debt.

I asked a lot of questions and she still didn't give me a company name. She also gave me some Western Union information.  Code City was NAPC, State was FLorida.   that this would stop her from turning in warrant to my county's office. Now mind you, she called at 10:00 AM She told me that the debt was due by 12:00 PM She states that she was Head of the Fraud and Legal Division.  She told me that if I didn't pay, My husband would be arrested.

Did anyone recieve a follow up on what happens? Did the calling stop?

I just received a call from Sharon Jackson today and she also stated to me that she was calling see if I can make a payment on a payday loan i had not paid back.  I told her that I could not at this time but next week she told me no and that she was going to have my paperwork processed and then she asked if I had any felonys?  I said what?  I asked her a lot of questions she wouldnt answer then hung up on me.  I called again and she state if i call her again she would get me for harresment.   She to said that she will be talking to my employer can they do that??  Im freaked out....

I had a voicemail message from a "John Smith" from this same number. He gave a case number and asked for me to call back concerning a court case. I've had this same company or whatever threaten me before about 6 or 8 months ago. I tracked down who they were, and send them DO NOT CONTACT letters. I also reported them to the BBB...lot of good that's done. I believe this company is out of Jacksonville FL...I know I googled it before...

I got the same call from Mrs.Jackson she called me at 12:00pm and said that I had until 1:30 to send her 3,077.00 or an attorney would be in court to file to have me arrested.  She did get me until I kept asking her information and she said that I could send the money quick collect before 1:30.  Then it dawned on me that today the court house was closed. When I called back I got a Mrs. Newman who said that they didnt file at the court house. She gave me the NAPCS city code and a case number.  She said that Mrs. jackson is out and to contact her in the morning.

I got a call from Ms. Jackson saying I owed 500.00 but I could pay 729.00
to keep the cops off me. I told them my husband was in the hospital she said she did not care about him being in there dying. I was very disrespected by her. She said I was going to jail she was taking out a warrant. She is a scam
she is a real joke.

My daughter received a call this morning from Sharon Jackson regarding a check that she states never cleared the bank and she was a collection agency. Gave me a number to call 800-634-3422 Western Union to pay the $300 in an hour or someone would be at my house to arrest me.  Called me back several times telling me she hasn't received the confirmation and where was the money. I called my bank, got a copy of the cancelled check. Called Sharon Jackson back and asked where I needed to take the check to prove it had cleared, she said she was turning me over and they would be arresting me and I would have to pay the $300 plus the $2,500 for my arrest.

I just recvd a call today from Sharon Jackson. She told me she was from a District Attorney's office and if I didn't pay 785.64 by 12:45 pm today, she would have the judge in San Bernardino County issue proceeding against me. Very rude curt. Never identified herself when I called back. Nor did she name the company she worked for. Also accused me of not being myself when I called her back. Not willing to work with me.

This morning Sharon Jackson called my home AND my parents and told my boyfriend and my parents that I owed money for a bad check and that I was going to be arrested. She refused to give them the name of her company and hung up on both when they tried to get additional information. So, my b-friend and parents both called me frantically. I called Sharon Jackson and asked her why she was calling my parents (I'm a grown adult out of the house for 15 years)she told me it was because of a check I stopped payment on and that I was going to be arrested. I asked who she was with and if she was part of a govenment agency at that point she hung up on me. I called her back and tried to get her some information to try to figure out what this was all about. She was terribly rude and unprofessional. She threatened to have me arrested several times. I told her I did not believe she had the right person and that I would go to my bank and see what they had to say about it. That is when she hung up on me the second time. A few minutes later she called me back.. Told me it was my last chance, I had 1 hour to send her $746.19 or I was going to be arrested.
When I got off the phone with Sharon, I immediately called the State of Texas Attorney General's Office. I explained just what I have written here. The person I spoke with at the AG's office told me they have pages and pages of complaints against this company and that what they are doing is highly illegal and that it is most likey a scam.

I do not owe this money they have the wrong person in my case.

Even if you do owe the money this awful company is trying to collect. Let me 100% assure you - they can not arrest you. It is illegal and you can SUE THEM under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for them even threatening it.

Make a formal complaint with your state's Attorney General's Office the State of Florida's AG's Office and the FTC they all have on line complaint forms.

Today I received a call from Sharon Jackson threatening to arrest me if I didn't pay her $1,032 for a $700 stop-payment check that was written over 2 years ago.  I told her that the check never cleared the bank and she accused me of fraud.  She said that if she didn't receive the money by 3:45 this afternoon, I would be arrested and it would cost me another $2,000 in fines.   She said it was a third-party check but would not tell me who the 3rd party was.  When my husband got on the phone and tried to get more detailed information, she was very indignant and hung up on him.  I called the police department and was advised not to pay anything; it is probably a collection agency trying anything to get money.  Beware!

I just received a call from Sharon Jackson threatening me that if i didn't pay $500 in an hour that I would be arrested and if I did get arrested I would have to pay an extra $2000+. This really freaked me out. I told me husband what was going on and he didn't think it sounded right. So we called our local police department and they told me they have had several complaints about this place and they said it was just a scare tactic to get money out of people. They also said that Sharon doesn't have the authority to have people arrested. When my husband called Sharon and asked her questions she hung up on him. So she's just trying to scare people into paying her money. She's disrespectful and cold hearted.

She called me today at 10:00 stated that I owed a certain amount that was due at 12:45pm She stated that if i didn't pay her by money gram she would turn it over to the states attorneys office,and that I would be arrested today at work or at home. I called the states attorneys office,and they told  me that they could not take this case because it did not happen in this county. So I also called the county in which it happened and they stated to me that they would need a police report first to do anything and that they did not have anything on file. So now I was suspicious. I ended up calling the lady back and tried to get more information from her and she then stated to me that she had put this file on hold and cut the amount in half and wanted me to pay before 4:45pm.I had my boss call them also.She used my name and case number to try to get more information.But she hung up on her also. I finally call the better business people and they told me I was being scamed. So I will call back tomorrow and file a report.

Sharon Jackson called my work and told a co-worker that she was a Florida Investigator and that there was to be a hearing today that I had to attend. Frantically the co-worker tried to reach me believing that this was a Florida Police Officer or an Officer of the Court.
I am reporting this to any Florida agency I can!

report this to your local police dep't immediately. also the attorney general's office. this is a total scam. i feel so sorry for the people who fall for this type of thing. the police would never call your house nor would anyone from the courts. just ignore these kinds of calls. but report them. it would be nice to put them out of business.
