- L A| 2 repliesCalled and said this is your last chance to lower your interest rate on your credit card. Press one to speak to a representative or two to let it expire. I tried to call the number right back and got a message that the number was disconnected. Sounds fishy.

- Patty| 2 repliesAs soon as I saw that the area code and prefix were from Jacksonville, Florida, I knew who this was calling. They keep telling me that this is my "last chance to lower my interest rates". They've been calling and telling me that for months. I keep telling them to remove me from their list and I keep reporting them to the "Do not call list" all to no avail. They keep calling, and frankly, I'm getting very tired of it. I don't pay any credit card interest. Period.
- Caller: Credit Services
- ladycholla replies to PattyWe also don't want anymore calls from these people. Tired of it, and can't seem to get them to stop. The Jacksonville number ID keeps just rolling on. How can we stop these people. Like you we don't pay interest on credit cards ever, if we can't pay in 30 days we just don't buy.
- CautiousCalled my credit card company after getting off the phone with these people & it is definately a SCAM....I did press '1' to find out who was calling me, as I'm on the Do Not Call List. 'Credit Services' offers to negotiate a lower interest rate on my highest rate credit card on my behalf. Went through this whole thing on how they needed to 'verify' to prevent fraud...vague answers were acceptable until they asked for my credit card #. I have to say, they had an comeback/answer for everything I asked, were persistent and did not hangup when I turned the 'physhing' card on them. They actually asked if there'd be a more convenient time to call back!Bank told me they are NOT a legitimate company!
- Caller: "Credit Services"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MrsGlassThey call to lower interest rates on credit cards. I usually just hang up, or don't answer at all. This time I hit 2 (to cancel last chance to lower rates). Then I called back. Number has been disconnected. We'll see if they call again, after canceling. Probably will. What a pain. I just won't answer again. My numbers are also on the DNC list.

- mom4 replies to L AThey have left several messages. One time I picked up the phone and pressed "one." She asked if I was calling to lower my interest rate. I asked which card she was calling about. She said they do VISA and MASTERCARD. I then asked, "But which of my cards are you calling me about specifically?" She hung up.
- Fat Lady SingsHave received calls from this number several times. Have reported this to the National DO NOT CALL service twice. Tried looking um number in ANYWHO.COM , but they have no listing. I wish Federal Govt. would act on shutting these gusy down. They hang up as soon as you say you are on the Do Not Call list or start asking them questions. They say their company name is "Credit Services"
- Caller: Credit Services

- LynnI do not own any credit cards and tried telling them they don't listen and I am on the do not call list. They keep calling.

- Hot and AngryI too, am on the Do Not Call lists....This number starts calling at 8am and continues all day! When I answered once no one was there even for me to scream at them! Other times an annoying message is left on answering machine. I called number back and it tells me number has been disconnected. I just want them to stop...I don't even have credit cards anymore. How do we stop these people?????
- Caller: Credit Services

- Ivan| 1 replyTake the very BIGGEST, LOUDEST whistle and blow it in their ear. Make telemarketing risky.
- UmbraCalled me on the 17th at about 2:30pm (eastern). Caller ID just said "Florida". It was either about my credit cards, which I don't have, or my car warranty, which I also don't have...I don't even care what it was about anymore. I pushed number '1' to talk to someone, then SCREAMED AS LOUD AS I COULD into the phone when a guy started talking. If they want to keep calling me, I don't care what number they steal and use, they're going to be afraid of getting my number again! I seriously recommend that everyone do the same thing to make them stop. They can't make these calls if they go deaf, right? BTW - It doesn't matter if you're on the Do Not Call Registry, because no reputable company looking for business who follows the registry is going to call you like this. Their business name has to show on the Caller ID, and the last time I knew, they can't use a voice recording to get a hold of you unless they have some kind of special permission. When you get a call like this, either blast their ears out by yelling, using a whistle, or some other REALLY loud noise; or give them a bunch of fake card numbers for them to try to use. They get PO'd but can't do anything because they're idiots, and you laugh, laugh, laugh....
- WAYNE KThey call to lower my interest rate - I have told them 4 x to take my name off their call list but they keep calling-I intend on suing them and encourage all to do that as well to put a stop to this shT.

- crd replies to Ivanlol at the whistle idea!! bet it will work though.
- patricia replies to L AI also received this same message and it said disconnected.
this is only a response to your message that the same has been happening to me. - Chuck| 2 repliesCaller ID said Jacksonville FL and the number
I know people in Jacksonville, so I would probably have answered but I couldn't find a telephone. My answer device picked up but the caller did not record a message.
When I saw the number was Jacksonville, I tried to call back but got doo-doo-dee "We're sorry but the number ... disconnected or is no longer in service. . . ."
Apparently the DONOTCALL law, like most others, has no teeth.
