Hi John. I received several calls from this number but did not get what the want from me. I called them back to find out what they want but my number was obvioulsy not in their system.....Did you had a chance to find out who they are? The comanies name sound like "Conversion Outcourcing Inc" (or something like that)

I keep getting these calls from this number. I called back and they asked for someone name Larry, when I informed them I did not know any one with that name he asked for my phone number to remove it from their data base. Well today they are still calling this is about the 7th call from this number. When the answer they say Conversion Outsourcing inc

Unwanted calls. Several of them daily. I saw online it was a debt collector or scammers.

Called identifying herself from Covergent on behalf of HSBC Auto Finance regarding a personal business matter involving me.  I told her i was at work and got her to give me a number to call her back (877-495-0400).  I had an auto loan from 2005 or 2006 that defaulted and have received letters from this company trying to settle for a substantial amount to satisfy the account.  The loan no longer shows on my credit and is no longer collectible since the statute of limitations has passed for any type of collections suit.  I plan to return her call to advise her of that and to cease and desist from contacting me further.

This number calls and hangs up when I answer, I have excellent credit and owe no one so I'm going to block their number!!

Get their physical address and send them a *registered* (and witht he green return card) FOAD letter as it is past the status of limitations in FL. Actually, if it is more than 7 years old (you checked in your credit report), it should not even be in your credit report. In any case, do tell them to stop calling or contacting you in any other way. And then pray they do ignore your letter so you can then sue them

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Thanks for the phone number. I finally got a hold of them and they wouldn't tell me who I owed money to. Like you, I don't have any bad marks on my credit right now so it must be for a very old debt that I defaulted on when I was young and stupid. They can suck it as far as I'm concerned. All you have to do is make one payment toward a debt that's gone off your record and they reopen it and it will be with you for another 7 years. She told me that she would mail me a record of the debt because I refused to give her any information and I don't think she has a clue what my address is. This all started with them calling my parents which was my last listed contact number over 20 years ago. Anyone reading this, never pay on a debt that's gone off your credit report, otherwise you're just opening a can of worms. Granted, if I came across a bunch of money I would make it right because I have a conscious. Life is hard as it is and you have to play to survive.

I agree..im not sure about iOS devices however I own an android device and I have the Mr. Number app! It works wonders..it tells you if its suspected spam if a number calls...and you can go in and mark it to hang up on the call as soon as they call your number! Wish they could have this for a landline lol because the DNC registery dont work all the time because I have my home number (which is primarily used for my husband work number for his work at home job) on the DNC list. ARUGH! This same number has called me twice! The first time the dude was rude but and I was like ugh first off you aint going to get rude with me! He wanted to know if he was calling the right person...I told him im not sure who are you looking for? He wanted to verify personal info of my husbands..whether or not if the info was right or not I sure in the hell aint going to give it to him...I asked Well if the debt is legitimate please send me the bill by mail...HE TOLD ME NO! TOTAL RED FLAG So i hung up on him...on top of that the company he called about, the joke is on him because 2 weeks prior I pulled both my husbands and my credit report (because you can pull it once a year for free) and this debt collector doesnt show! Nice try buddy!

Called the number back. They were calling my moms' home constantly! When I verified my information with a "Allene" or something like that, she hung up of me. Each time I called (nine calls back), I was dumped into a "hold" or "voicemail-type" system. No one answered, then I was disconnected.
