A recorded voice tells you that you have won 1300 travel dollars.  You have to call a certain number to claim it, which is most certainly a scam.

I do not want this number or any of it's related sets  calling me again. no message left so had to star 69 this costs me money .I will not pay the charge i will short the bill  this amount every time my payment is due.

Got a call from this number. They didn't leave a message. Probably some new marketing [***].

I got this call at 5:00pm with a prerecorded message saying that I have won 395 travel dollars and to accept this prize to press '1'.  I hung up at that point.

I called the number and its not in service??

Same travel dollar Bull$hit!  When unknown numbers come in I usually answer with "Juan's pizzaria and pet shop".  They never know what the heck to say to that one.

This number has been calling my +1-613- cellphone; as I have to pay to receive calls here, I didn't answer to ask what they wanted. I am on the do-not-call list, so these solicitation calls are unlawful.

Got the same call to (press 1 to accept). on my cell. How annoying that now my pricey cell phone minutes are targetted by spam.

Interesting that I received a call from this number today on my personal/do not call registered 780-prefix cell phone.  (I don't answer calls that I do not recognise & there was no voicemail left, of course!)  And after looking up the comments for 514-204-8989 (received 13MAY), it appears the scam is the same for both numbers, but activity seems to have switched from this 514-prefix to the 905-prefix in the last 2 months.
Clearly, they are calling from within Canada, so good news that the Do-Not-Call Registry is working about as well as the Gun Registry... hope we didn't spend the same kind of money on this one!?

Just received this number on my cell phone too...what a pain. I have received it a few times actually but have never answered, they never leave a message. I am apparently registered for the 'no call' option! Excellent!

Therefore once your enrollment goes into effect you should be extra careful of unsolicited telemarketing calls unless you know they come from a company with which you have a legitimate, established relationship



YOU HAVE TO REPORT THESE ILLEGAL CALLS - If YOU ARE NEVER REPORTING THEM - what do you expect ??  No one can do anything IF NOT REPORTED..

They just called my cell # and it's a pay as you go phone so they soaked me for a couple of bucks.  And I never answered it. Will be reporting it for sure.

Just got a call from this number on my work cell with a 780 area code. Missed the call but likely would have answered because i frequently get legit calls from weird numbers.

I agree with Gem. 'Do-not-call' and 'Gun' registries are non-functional. They call my home phone and just now my cell. My cell is not listed anywhere. How do they get the numbers? I AM FED UP!!!

I have had my number not topped up for 6 months, just turned it on and topped up for a month and this company/number above has called. I have not given the number to anyone other than my family members. As I don't plan/use it has a permanent number. So, they didn't get it of any document/business site/purchase etc... Not to mention all the calls mentioned above and mine included are via auto dialing machines with pre-recorded messages.  I thought auto dialers were illegal way back when the vacuum cleaner sales and carpet cleaning solicitors hit the phone numbers so hard.  I thought that calls had to be done via voice now, like charities and other business related to a purchase etc....   So regardless of whether you are on a list or not, if it is auto dialing in numeric order all numbers will be hit, businesses also.

You can report the numbers as well, but all the numbered company/entity has to do is obtain another phone number/land line and number company and start again. I wish the government could force the phone companies to report the misuse, but I am sure the phone company makes some money off them. 905 is not local to my number, all the disconnecting/changing fees for new numbers, not to mention long distance.  I just wish the rest of us got a break on our phone calls since the phone companies at least get something out of it...lol

Well, enough annoyance for me.... 10 minutes on something I don't know can be/will be changed is long enough....
