Received a call from this number, I didn't answer and no message was left when I checked it later.

Called three times wihtin 30 minutes.  When I looked up this number or tried calling it back I heard it was an unlisted/unused number.  After further tracking, it came from Canada.

Caller haas called several times, leaves a message with no identification of company or organization.  Requests a return phone call to "Take care of an urgent matter."

i have recieved a call from this number and i was not able to catch it on time.

Calls from automated voice leaving message "Take care of this urgent personal matter" Return call - will not identify company "Global"
Called them several times "Salman speaking"
Another "Tucker"
Asked for my phone number to get it off their list - refused.

Automated message saying, "We need 'mr.....' to call us back immediately."

Tired of these people calling for someone that doesn't live here.

They called and didn't leave a message.  i tried to call back and no answer.

Guy named Jason supposedly keeps calling all he says is that he's from Capital One and he is attempting to collect debt and my mom says $25/month then he said no so then a day later he calls back and says that's fine puts her on hold and he hangs up we are wondering he's like oh you need to pay, my mom is like ok I will but you need to stop late fees. This thing is a scam if he was really from Capital One it would say when you call the number, thank you for calling Capital One now today it is 3/25/08 and he's like oh ill see if I can stop the limit fees and late fees for $100/month then he puts her on hold and we hang up because he doesn't get back on the line. When you call back the number there's no voicemail no greeting message no nothing just ringing......

P.S. Everybody this is maybe a scam so everyone be cautious don't give out check number credit cards or SSN and also information that will lead them to where you live and other crap like that

It's from a credit collection agency that represents CapitolOne - The "What's In Your Wallet People".

I received a call from (905) 413-8577, the person left a voice mail with no name, stating to advise this person (who????), stating it was federal law and then finally stating they could not disclose any information, and to return a call, I returned the call and did not receive any answer, no greeting or recording.  I researched on the internet and discovered this number is in Ontario.  I have no business matters in Ontario.

I too have received many calls from these people.  When i called the number back an operator comes on saying the call can't be completed at this time.  Does ANYONE know what these people want or where they are calling from?  IT'S REALLY ANNOYING!

This is a colledtion agency for Capital One named Global Credit

You should have you mom call this company names WCA. They negotiate and settle debt. They got me out of $42,000 worth of debt for pennies on the dollar. 800-262-2638

This number called my house at 7:30am looking for an old boyfriend of 11 years ago. Straaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaange!!  Good thing this stuff does not bother my husband.

They leave a message & a phone # but no one ever takes the call.  The person they are looking for does not live there.

Pretty much a repeat of those received by the posters of Feb. 2008. I had the first one yesterday (I had accidentally picked up, because I have relatives in Canada, and though "Markham Ontario" is not expected, still . . . .). Got the end part of a recorded message saying to press something to speak to someone. Naturally, I did not.
 Got the next one this morning at 0940. Let the voice mail take it, and there was a robo-message, even a name ("Mr. Rubell"), but no company name given, and quite mysterious about why they needed to reach a totally unfamiliar name, inserted by robotic voice.
  "Mr. Rubell" then gave 866-915-5210 as the toll-free number to call back. However, I just googled it, and it all seems to be part of the same scam. I have no intention of calling either number, but the major question is, how do we get them to stop calling? Even when I know enough to not take the calls, they're still disruptive. And how/why did they get my number? Any idea what authority this might be reported to that could get some action?

I started receiving calls from this number about 2 weeks ago but they call when I am not home. They never leave a message, just hang up. Yesterday a guy started saying who he was but he got cut off before he gave his name.

I don't know how he got my number, I am living in Germany. I do have a US phone number that forwards to my German number, but I don't think they used that. And both of my numbers are unlisted.
