using asterix to change caller id info.  may be a scam

Caller was VERY RUDE and admant to speak with the "business owner".  He was insistant, demeaning, and secretive.  Would not listen and kept repeating himself.  After being asked many times he finally revealed his name was JOEY and he was calling from a "financial institution".  When asked what financial institution he replied "Exit for Funds. Do you have a problem with that?"  Would not leave voicemail.  Could not find any information for his supposed "financial instituition" Likely a scam.

Says he is from a financial institution and nothing else.

I got a call from that number twice today missed it both times.  It has a weird caller id-V10070714370015.  When I try to call back it says line is busy.  Even when i call at 3 in the morning.

I just got a call from this number as well. Had a very similar ID, beginning with V1008. I did not answer. No msg was left on machine.

Today I had another call and answered it.  They claim to be doing some kind of marketing research for health products.  When they asked if I had a credit card I started getting suspicious.  I asked for some way of verifying who they were and all they told me was they were located in the Phillipines, and they were called SPT.  I asked to speak to a supervisor, so they put me through to one.  When I asked for some kind of verification as to who they were she gave me a number.  When I called the number it rang then someone picked up and hung up right away.  I called 3 times each with the same results.

My mother was called from this number - they wanted to know if she lives alone, whether she pays her bills in cash or credit card, what her full name is, etc.   "If you answer all our questions we'll give you a gift".

The woman calling had an oriental accent.

Mom reported them to the police.

just what?  I had the same pig call me!  i was bold enough to tell them that there was a death in the family so please respect that and do not call!   the cockroach got his pig co-worker to call me instead, the very next day.  i phoned the police to make a report, but a plan on going even further with my complaint.  my telephone number has always, always, always been unlisted - and i pay extra for that - but it does not help!
what also bothers me, is that i have torn ligaments and tendons in my legs and to have to get to the telephone is painful...  hopefully, i can end up putting those pigs away on a farm where they belong!!

I got a call as well, as soon as he started asking me if I have medical issues, how long i've lived at my home and what I do for a living, I informed him that, that info is non of his business and he hung up on me...again, just another man without BALLS!!!!!

Everyone must remember that any and all info that comes out of your mouth can and will be used against you.  These are not real businesses and it should be considered serious no matter who calls and asks you personal questions for no reason.  People want to ask questionsin a survey, call from my own country and i'll consider assisting you!!!  BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

i just received the same call...it appeared with VO3212259030027 above the number...Rude man, very aggressive saying he was from a financial co. to confirm info. I said no and hung up. It's a scam!!!

I was not home when I got a call from this number. When I tried to call the number back it said the number has been disconnected or is no longer in service. Have you ever heard of spoof cards? They allow the caller to change the number displayed on your call display as well as the voice being used!

I've received several calls from this number.  They said they were calling from Rogers and had received notice that I was moving.  The tricky thing with this call is that I am moving but had already called Rogers to update my account.  As soon as I mentioned that I had already phoned in the change they hung up before I could finish my sentence,

this number called at home few mins ago. i checked the number online and found this site with lots of complaints about this # too. what the heck. scam? people never trusted this days, never answer a call unless there is a name on it. this number says on the phone screen, ANONYMOUS.

Missed a call from this number yesterday at 3:45 pm and they didn't leave a message, but the caller ID read "westernuser2".  Since others report different screen names, they're obviously changing the name for different calls.  Scam...
