received a letter stating winner in the "UK & NORTH AMERICA CONSUMER PROMOTION DRAW" organized by North Aamerican Sweepstake for all customers of Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Kohl, Safeway etc. Your name was attached to an ENTRY SLIP with a serial number 5674599 and drew the lucky winning #s 45-97-89-66

We never entered anything of sorts. Ck enclosed $3920. Send back $2,785 for government taxes & insurance fee via Money Gram or Western Union Money Transfer.

Today I received the same letter only it used the Trustnet letter head, 130 N. Beacon, Brighton, MA 02135.  416-834-6344    It had the same winning number, and the same serial number as noted by Meme, but had claim number PDP-11-45-12.  The enclosed check was from Duke Energy Corporation in the amount of $3950 for payment of (NON_RESIDENT) Taxes.  

This tax is payable to your tax agent throught Money Gram or Western Union Money Transfer.

What a fiasco.  The letter comes in a non-discript envelope, from a company in MA, with a check from a company in NC, issued by Morgan Chase Bank in Syracuse, NY, with a tax payable directly to a woman in London.   The drawing takes place in the UK, organized by companies in the US, while the claim agent is a woman with a cell phone in Ontario, Canada.  Were it not for this forum and others like it, it could take days to gather answers on this type of fraud.

I gees they are doing this repof on different  way's my mom shust got one and deposit that dame check now we don't know what to do
