Just got a call from this#. The message said to press any key to speak to a rep, but once I pressed a key I got the message " sorry your having trouble, goodbye". Then it hung up on me?

This a another one of Contract Resource Service scam numbers, said I owed them money from a credit card
company I never delt with. The person  tries to get more information  so they can conduct their scams.

See Money advisor.  They use many phony numbers as they use VOIP so they can create the
number of their choice.  They are run out of Mississauga and you can see complaints registerd
with the better buissness bureau and also with Silverman.  There are many sites that will also warn you of these people stay away they are a scam .

Repeatedcalls from 905-984-8824 says sorry you ate havinnf diff. And hangs up. Help.

I received a call from this number.  They tried to tell me that my computer was sending Windows error messages.  They wanted me to go to my computer.  This is a scam to get control of your computer.

I also received a call from this number, saying a computer was sending an error message. They wanted to hook the computer up to a phone line.

This must be an obvious scam, because mist computers today don't even have a modem for dial up. Even if you have a modem, a connection via a land line will give that other computer free access to your computer. Which can give them complete access to your information, and free reign to snoop around your system.

These people called me (had an accent) and claimed to be from microsoft windows (in deliware US) and told me I was having computer problems and that it was going to crash soon lol

I kept them on the line for a long time and eventually the guy told me to go to hell lol

Also got a call from a guy with an accent claiming that my computer was generating messages and that he was calling "from Windows" LOL. I'm reporting this to the police fraud dept.

Just got a call form this number claiming my computer was sending error windows messages. SCAM!!!

My elderly mother got a call from this number telling her there is a bomb in her computer!!  She told them she doesn`t have a computer and hung up on them.... they called back twice!  They quoted her address to her as well, said they were calling from Pakistan...

Called to say there was something wrong with my windows... I cut him off at that point and asked him if his father was proud of him being a thief. Then I asked if he even knew who his father was because his mother was such a ~beep~ to produce a thieving scum like him. After that, I just got nasty. If he wasn't crying when I hung up, then I must be losing my touch. These people are total wastes of oxygen and must be shut down and locked up.

The U.S. Department of Just Us took down Megaupload and had its founder tossed in jail on dubious evidence. But nobody seems to want to do anything about these, quite traceable, hackers who con people into installing malware on their computers, and steal financial information - likely to fund terrorism.

A bomb in her computer? OI! I'm glad to hear that she was able to recognize it as a scam and hang up on them. Some poor souls may be taking such things literally, with potentially disastrous results.

People, if you can call them that, who prey on the elderly are among the worst form of scum as far as I'm concerned.

Just got a call from this number as well but didnt ask me about computers he asked if I had an upright????
Same thing as stated before he had a thick accent and was demanding to know if I was busy  for the next couple of days. I told him its none of his business and wanted to know why I was home today if busy. I asked for his name and wanted to know why and I now demanded to know his name. He gave me Elle [***]...lol so made up. But I took it anyways and the number and hung up. If they didnt call back 2 seconds later but didnt want to leave a message on the answering machine. I contacted the police right away. Scam or not we have to notify them right away about things like this. I go away on weekends and if they know my name they know my address and by not letting the appropriate people know could lead to someone breaking in my place. Better to be safe than sorry.The police feel the same. When you call the number back it is busy

Got a call from this number on my cell. I didn't recognize it, so didn't answer. I decided to google the number, and glad I did. disturbs me how they might be able to take advantage of an elderly person in such a situation.

I just got a call from this foriegn man who said there was something wrong with my computer.  When I told him I didn't own one, he called me a liar!

ye I also got this call saying it was sending a message to windows and I asked what the message was and he got all figity and hung up then called back and wanted me to download team viewer and I have used it before so I said to [***] off you scammer and he lost his kool now a windows rep would of taken it and tried to lisen that's also how I could tell he started swaring and actual repersentives wouldn't of.

i have them calling me as well but when ever i try to call it back its all ways busy it never rings  so im glade i didn't answer it lol

They just called me again for like the 100th time in at least 2 years  saying they were for the technical dept. told him to eff himself. Then he kept calling me back telling me he wanted to eff me and take my virginity. Wth!  Why can't they be stopped?  It's ridiculous. We shouldn't have to put up with this. .

Im calling the local st catharines police tomorrow. you can also call crime stoppers but they won't do anything even though they say they do, but since this call is local it can be considered harassment. they've called me quite a few times as well

I received the same message about error messages on my computer & wanted me to go to my computer as you stated. Wondering why it's so obvious it's a scam that they haven't been caught yet. I've gotten about 5-6 calls per month for about the last 5 months.
