I just got a call from the about a job with the FBI.  I know that the FBI will not call me from NJ re: a job in Washington, DC.  Its 22 Century Technology.  FBI is real strict on how the look for applicants.

These are recruiters that assist many government agencies at finding IT workers.  They have listings on Dice and other web sites.

They take your number from any resume (as "Steve" noted, from Dice.com).  They called me a few times.

A "recruiter" with a foreign accent said he found my resume online and wanted to see if I was interested in a job with UPS. He said in order to submit my resume he needed my social security # and date of birth. I did NOT give this information and I hung up. Sounds like a definite scam. Furthermore, the job that he said was open at UPS did not exist on the UPS website. I have worked with recruiters before and not one time did they ask for my social or date of birth over the phone. Beware!!

This same thing happened to me except he got my info from Monster.com. He called and said that he needed my SSN before he could send my resume to the employer. I called Raytheon and they are aware of this scam. No such job exists.

I have received 2 calls from this number and 2 from 703 945-1791 claiming to be a recruiter for Boeing. Really bad english, Offer just did not sound right. They did ask for my date of birth, but not my SSN YET. Thank goodness for google.

I just received a call from this number pretending to be recruiter for the company of UPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GIVE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION IT A SCAM. The GUY asks for your S.S. and DATE OF BIRTH!!!!!!! Thank God I knows scams when I hear one. He sends out a email.com then call you pretending he a recruiter for the UPS. NO IT A SCAMS PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF FROM SCAMS THANK God I have a GOLD MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Constant phone calls and emails from this company about jobs I dont want.

I have received three calls with no voicemail message from 908-765-0002, identifying name to number is SINGH, S.  Today they called me twice within 30 minutes.  The second time I answered and the male voice said he was 22 Century Technologies. Without offering any confirmation of my name (which they wanted to confirm who they are speaking with after saying the company name), I asked them to confirm their fax number 609-228-4044.  SINGH said "he(male) is calling about a job offer and then confirmed yes, that is our fax #."  My response (and only response after requesting to confirm the fax#) was, "thank you for confirming your fax number, you have been reported as a scam - goodbye" and I ended the call by hanging up - giving him absolutely no opportunity to reply or request additional information through confirmation tactics.  The information below I found on a web link that had numerous posts confirming this number is a scam and they get numbers from online job resources.  With confirmation of the below information already posted, it was easy to conclude the calls are a scam.

I got a call from this number too, left no message at first. It's a pitiful time when companies have to sink so low to get low life recruiters to find workers. Don't these people know how ruthless, crooked and nervy recruiters are? No one takes recruiters serious and I wish they would go away and all get laid off from their jobs to know what it's like to be out of work and taken advantage of! Recruiters suck!!!!!

I just got this same call twice. The interesting thing is that somehow the pull my resume from online. I did fill an application through UPS website but found it odd that this 22 century something company will be calling me in regards of UPS application. I am glad I read this because the website for 22 century is a company that partners with the Air Force. It has nothing to do with UPS whatsoever. As Alicia stated. Beware.

I had applied through Monster.com, indeed.com, zip cruiser.com for employment. Caller said he worked for 22nd Century Technologies, Inc., a company who "recruits" for UPS. He asked for my date of birth and my SSN so he could forward it to UPS. I balked. He even sent me a link to check out the company -- it looked very legit: had UPS logo, format etc. But something told me "NO." No legitimate company would ask for date of birth or SSN number over the phone! All the emails, phone calls & web link site that were sent to me were BOGUS. Something just didn't seem right. The link site, did not have UPS.com in its address, the advert for the job position had some typos and misuse of English language. The man even called me back to see if I looked at the link he sent. For all I know the man could have been in another country and the call was routed through the 908 (NJ) number. His accent was decidedly foreign. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, ESPECIALLY YOUR SSN.

What can you do if you weren't aware and really looking for a job and gave your personal information?????? My naughtier and I both ar freaking out

Yah so I'm also job hunting and have my resume posted on CareerBuilder.com and others.  Today I got a call from this company too.  An individual named Pankaj said he had a opening also for UPS, Monday - Friday, @ $16.31 hr...which all sounded great ...but then he threw in that it was only a part time job working a mere 3 HOURS A DAY.  Now, I do get calls from out of state agencies looking for candidates, and often they have heavy foreign accents and people here instantly think they are scammers...but really...they are legit and just doing their job.  But this one was strangest of all because I have never heard of a company that only wants to you work for only 3 hours a day. This guy never got to asking for any of my personal info, aside from asking for a most recent copy of my resume...which was also strange because he was looking at it, online as we were talking.  Bottomline...maybe this was indeed a scam call considering the odd hours, but maybe it was legit.  I dont know, but if one of these agencies calls you, maybe you shouldnt automatically rule them out as scammers...especially if you are looking for a job.

So it turns out that The caller from 22nd Century Tech was legit and so was the position he was calling about, odd as it was at being only 3 hours a day.  I found this out because another agency called me about the same position.   But still be careful who you give your personal info too.

Number belongs to an individual named SINGH, S. If you call it back it says 22nd Century Tech. I called the number and went through the directory using the last name provided as attached to the number and a guy answered like it was a personal cell phone. Do not provide these people with any personal information.
