Please stop calling not interested

They call several times a day, but only one time ever said anything. It was a prerecorded message about getting out of payday loan debt. They offered to stop calling if I hit the number 2 on my phone. So I did. And now they call more often than ever. I'm tempted to contact a friend who could track them down and then go "talk" to this jerk in person. I'll let y'all know if I get around to it. They are using a cell phone out of Victorville, CA.

They called and did not identify themselves as with a company or even their name but started demanding my social security number and date of birth. I made a local police report about the call.

got a call from this number with accented and barely understandable foreign guy. said my computer was sending error messages did i know this? I did not. He said that he was from either B&E solutions or B&G could not make out which. but only came out on caller id as crestline ca number.? When i told him i do not trust him due to no company name on caller id he hung up.

by the way, this number when called back has a recording that this number is not in service. SCAM ALERT

Some [***] asking me to turn control of my computer over to him to fix the bad signals I was sending out.  Should have just nuked em when we had the chance.

They've called several times in a period of about 10 days. Each time they ask me to go to my computer because it has been sending them error messages and they need to correct them. I hung up the first few times. Finally I told them to take me off of their list. Today they called again and I played along. He instructed me to locate the control button on my keyboard and them the Windows function.... and I stopped him and told him I didn't have windows, that I had told them to take me off their list, and that I was calling the AG's office to report them. He hung up.

I knew this was a scam, but wanted to see what they did.  I'm pretty familar with computers.  I played along right up to the point where they would take control of my computer.  They "scare" you first by showing normal computer events that are labeled as errors or warnings.  Then they have you go to a website that has software that let's someone control your computer.  When I asked if she felt good about trying to scam people and lying to them, she said "Thank's for wasting time" and hung up.  Ha Ha.  Who was wasting whose time????
If they call you, start a little with them, and then say, "Someone's at the door.  Hang on."   Then just go away and let them waste time....

Just rec'd third call in 2 days from person with East Indian accent purporting to be
calling for P C Solutions.  Message was the same each time - calling to report
"error report" regarding use of our computer and offering to repair problem.
