This # called my phone, when I returned to call it is not active.

this number called me after 9pm in NC which is i know is 3 later than where they called from in cali but it is illegal here for phone calls after 9pm for solicitation. They asked for my husbands ex wifes first name. I was like wtf? I kept pressing him for information because he seemed like he was in a rush to get off the phone at that point. I thought he hung up on me until a lady comes on saying the ex wife had placed an order with them before and that they were updating their information. BS! My cell phone # has been mine before and during my marriage and i havent even changed me last name. So how in the world are they getting me "mixed" up with an ex wife?

I've been getting a LOT of calls lately from spammers, including this one.  No message. Just keep on calling...

This call is from Feature Films for Families trying to get you to order DVD movies from them. They probably were given your number as a referral from a current customer or from an old call list.

Yeah. I've received LOTS of calls from the various Feature Films for Families numbers.  This one, 412-430-5663, 607-203-5669, 866-840-4246 (maybe - it's one of many numbers that keep calling), 678-310-2858, 651-333-4104- 618-221-0188, 951-266-5572, 657-202-9080, 215-383-3472... yeah, they're from all over the country.

Feature Films for Families (FFFF) is a privately owned company that sends out videos that its website, named Family TV, calls "family movies with family values".[1] The company, its owner, and related companies have been the subject of several government and phone company lawsuits concerning deceptive practices and illegal telemarketing, including calling people again who had told the companies to stop calling, and targeting "parents and grandparents" with false "fundraiser" claims after the victims received DVDs and a survey.

In 2009, Feature Films for Families and the Dove Foundation together paid $70,000 to Missouri's Merchandising Practices Revolving Fund after using the Dove Foundation to solicit on behalf of the for-profit Feature Films for Families to attempt to evade the Missouri No Call law. Feature Films for Families had created an alliance with the Dove Foundation, a non-profit foundation which is known for its activities of rating, reviewing, and endorsing films. The two companies worked together via telemarketing, but because Feature Films for Families is a for-profit corporation, this allegiance violated Missouri's No Call law.[6]

In 2010, Verizon Wireless filed suit against Feature Films for Families after the company allegedly placed nearly 500,000 illegal automated telemarketing calls in ten days to the mobile phones on Verizon's network. The calls were recorded advertisements for the FFFF film The Velveteen Rabbit.[7]

In a related suit in May 2011, the Justice Department, acting for the Federal Trade Commission, filed a complaint[8] in U.S. District Court in Florida charging Feature Films for Families, Inc., its owner Forrest S. Baker III, and two other companies owned by Baker — named "Corporations for Character, L.C." and "Family Films of Utah" — with "waging deceptive and illegal telemarketing campaigns pitching movies and soliciting for donations, including calls to more than 16 million phone numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry."[2] The complaint seeks "a court order to permanently bar the defendants from violating the FTC Act and the Telemarketing Sales Rule, as well as civil penalties, and disgorgement of their ill-gotten gains."[2] Among the behavior described by the complaint:

Calling over 2 million Do Not Call Registry numbers in a space of only two weeks.
Calling people again who had already told the companies not to call them.
Using fake Caller ID names like "CUSTOMER SVC", "FAMILY VALUES CB", and "VELVETEEN", and failing to orally identify the seller, the purpose of the call, and the nature of what was being advertised.
Claiming that "all of the proceeds of this fundraiser will help us finish up creating this recommended viewing list to help parents and grandparents, like us, with a list we can trust" when the organization responsible for the list was not receiving all of the money, and the for-profit companies kept at least 93% of the proceeds.
Doing additional telemarketing on behalf of organizations whose names were related to police and firefighters, and claiming that the administrative costs were a "very minimal amount", then keeping most of the donations for the telemarketers themselves.[2]

And they keep calling???

Please leave us alone. We have asked you countless times to stop calling. We don't even own a DVD player any more.

I have no idea who they are so they need to stop calling me. I remember a news report that there is a scam that if you pick up the scammers then use your personal info from your phone to get credit cards under your name so since this number has been calling me, I have not answer it.

They continue to call my phone. I would love to report them.

I bought movies from this company years ago and lately they've been calling me multiple times a day from multiple numbers.  They've used (951)266-5572, (651)333-4196, (651)333-4104, (412)430-5663, (607)203-5669, and (909)259-9839.

they, 909-259-9839, called many times after we asked them to stop. they held on to a call after we hung up, for 301 minutes to punish us for requesting them to stop.

Finally!! Thanks to this message board now I know who is calling me.  I only get the phone numbers and not the name of whose calling on my phone.  I have purchased dvds from them in the past and they are good wholesome movies, but I never gave out my cell number.  They always called on my home phone.  They were calling a lot last year or two years ago.  I just wouldn't answer my home phone. Looks like somehow  they got a hold of my cell number and have been calling several times a day with different numbers.  What a pain in the butt.  I will not do business with them anymore and will try to get off their list.

They've been calling me for years... I have them setup in my phone with a silent ringer, just in case the iphone blocker isn't working (sometimes does, sometimes doesn't), I have 28 phone numbers for these guys!  they finally give up, then in another year they start all over again with a new set of numbers....  I did by DVDs when my son was small , but he's gone now and we are done with the films.  I've probably got about another week or 2 and they will leave me alone for another year or 2.  They found my cell somehow... I ordered their films before I had a cell and even on the do-not call listings.

This company has been calling me constantly,  They ask for my husbands ex  wife,   I too, have had my same phone number for 15+ YEARS.  They refused to tell me how they got my phone number...just saying People Finder and (being rude along with what little info they had)  Why not call the number on the account; which she said was opened in 1992..  That is absolutely crazy as I do not carry my husbands last name.
