whoever they are or whatever they really want is a mystery because they are using a FAKE caller ID.
maybe somebody that has been calling is just having fun with us
i have a back up plan - i'll answer someday when i am bored and if they ask for somebody by name, i'll tell them that they called at a bad time, that person just blew their brains out and i was about to call 9-1-1...

just get hello...hello...hello..on ans machine..spoken in broken english. caller id shows "name not found"

Left no message.  I waited a few minutes & called the number back.  I got a message from my carrier that the number could not be completed as dialed.

receive calls several times a day, always a hang-up when I answer.

I've been getting these calls as well, the ID says "California". As you know, some schmuck might be using your line once they realize it's a working number. I can't remember the details but they some how use your number for billing purposes and so on...................bend over. You would think in this day and age we could track down and beat these a$$holes silly.
