**Scam** Department of Legal Affairs, "Eric Smith" - Very threatening voice mail.  Left vague reference to legal proceedings being brought against me and that I should immediately call back or have my attorney call them regarding this matter.  Didn't bother to mention who was bringing allegations against me or use my full name.  Thick Indian accent repeated his name and phone number multiple times.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Just received a call from above referenced caller with heavy accent. He asked for my daughter who was not here and he wanted her number. When I told him I wouldn't give that to him he threatened me with legal action for withholding information from an investigation regarding her. I proceeded to tell him I suspected he was a scammer and I would give absolutely no information over the phone. He then threatened me with sending police officers to my door (he had my address) with in two hours to which I replied "FINE! I'll deal with them but not you." He responded with something about calling 911 that was not clear and then hung up. He did not call me back.

I too received a call from "Ryan Jackson," a very stern man with a thick accent from The Department of Legal Affairs. He left a message claiming legal proceedings were being brought against me and that I should obtain a lawyer and call him back at 909-562-1758. Clearly a scam, I deleted the message from my machine.

Alex Watson from Dept of Legal Affairs stated legal proceedings against me were filed. I asked to speak to his manager and wanted his #. Alex asked why, I said because I don't believe him. He said I'd believe him when I experience what's coming to me in the next 24 hours. I pushed back and asked for his manager's name. He hung up on me. Had a thick Indian accent.

Just received a phone call from an Allan Watson from Dept of Legal Affairs US Treasury.  He had a very very heavy accent that sounded like he was from India. He had asked for my husband but husband wasn't home at the time. So I asked him what this was concerning.  He said it was confidential and that he had to talk to my husband about it. I also asked for a case number. He said that was confidential. So I told him that I would take a message and started to ask him questions such as, name (he answered "Allan Watson"), what company he worked for (he answered US Treasury Dept), what his number was (he answered 909-562-1758), what city he was in (he answered San Bernardino, Calif.), then I asked him what time zone he was in (he answered California time zone).  When he couldn't answer the last question and I questioned further and he hung up.  I then typed in his number and this website came up.  I am glad that I found this website because my husband and I realized that we were not alone.  The suggestions that are mentioned in previous posts are excellent and plan to call and email all the recommended places.  Thanks to all.

so relieved to see I am not the only one!  I was awoken this morning by the phone ringing and thankfully couldn't get it in time! I checked my messages and there was one from a "Brian Maxwell" - same description as all the rest… heavy accent, bad acting, etc. I would sure LOVE to find out this guy's phone number and phone solicit him while he was sleeping!
