I received a call just now from a gentleman with an Indian accent asking for my son and saying he was the the Department of Legal Affairs for the US Treasury.  He said they wanted my son to call him back or they would send agents to the door.  I informed him that I wanted him to send me a letter and provide the phone # of his supervisor. He said they had sent 3 Certified letters already.  This is a scam. The US Treasury does not place phone calls to collect money

I received a call just now from a man with an Indian accent who told me that he was calling from the U.S. Department of Treasury. He asked if I was aware of why I was calling. I said no. He said that I was going to be served legal documents tomorrow and that if I was not present to receive them, I would be arrested. He told me to contact the 909 number and extension 216 to discuss payment. I asked why I had not received any written notices and he said the legal documents would be the notice. Federal agencies ALWAYS sends written notices. I have personally worked with a few before. Do not believe these scammers.

Total scam.  Do not call back!

LOL Just got a call-he could've made himself more credible with another name.

Could not understand female message, returned phone call.  Indian gentleman answered and knew my husband's name without me saying a word.  He told me a warrant has been issued for my husband, my husband would not be returning home tonight and he needs to call back asap.  He would not give me any information as to why. SCAM!!!

I had the same experience.  I told them to please send the treasury to my door.  I would love to speak with them in person.

They are using magicjack numbers. If one of them calls you let them know you know that. It will freak them out.
