Got a scam call from this number today 9/27/16.

Some stupid [***] called stating that I must go to court, when people send U to court they don't call, they send a paper. Another idiot who can't hold a job, so she decides to SCAM people. As if that's the solution to her financial problems.

Says officer Shirley Peterson badge #4512. She says she's from US Treasury Dept. and for me to call before I'm  arrested for Tax fraud. LOL I hope no one falls for this crap!

I am reporting this to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Attorney General. I suggest you do the same. It's easy-you can report online

This is a clear scam. The IRS would not call you regarding being sued. You would get something in the mail or be served papers.

False IRS Scam demanding you call them back concerning a serious enforcement action against you.
The IRS always send written correspondence to reach you. The IRS does not use recorded statements or leave you damning voicemails.

Calling to say we had to call back because of having to appear before a magistrate judge and to call back urgent!!

Me too. I just received the voicemail from a Steven Martin.

I got a voicemail from a Steven Martin with a heavy Asian accent.  I'm about to be arrested for a federal offense. [***], please...  do you really think that I will believe the IRS is sending you to call me instead of sending a certified letter?

Me too...these calls need to stop..this is harassment

Steve Martin also with heavy accent called me. I already reported it to IRS website.
