Caller ID shows "USD" Called the number back and got an animated voice that sounded like someone had inhaled helium. After approximately thirty seconds a automated female voice announces " Good Bye" and the line disconnects.

This call is 909-748-1313 and the person identified themselves as "US Directory"

SCAM!!!    Caller identified themselves as US Directory Service ( www.usdirectory.com ) and he just wanted to add a directory listing for our business and to confirm some information.  Towards the end of the call I was told about a one-time $5.00 fee to add our listing.  When he asked for payment I said I don't give that kind of information over the phone and asked him if they could send an invoice.  After he continued to ask for a card I told him that I would need a little time to research them to make sure it was legitimate... then was abruptly hung up on.  TOTAL SCAM!!!!  see here for tons of complaints with varying scenarios: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/usdirectory_com.html

Caller identified himself as Tony Cruz from the BBB saying that he had been assigned as my Account Manager.  Since I had just listed my website on the BBB,  I kind of believed this was true.  He told me everything that was listed on my website, asking questions that were obvious, but still I was not suspicious until he asked me for my credit card number or my checking account.  I told him I never gave that information over the phone and to please send me a link from his company.  He told me that the website was that from the BBB, and that I shouldn't worry because it was only $5.00 dlls. but they would be refundable if I was not satisfied.  I said I wanted to think this over and hanged up.  I saved his number on my phone and he has been calling almost every hour!

There was only heavy breathing when I answered.  After a few seconds  I said" And your point would be?" and hung up.

Rude.  Demanded to speak with the owner.  Wouldn't say what it was regarding.

There were ten seconds of silence when "USD" called me from the listing 1-909-748-1313.  I checked this website, then called back and informed them that I wanted to be placed on their "DO NOT CALL" list. The female who answered said only "All right. Thank you," and I hung up.  I wish I could report a violation of a do-not-call order, the way I would for my other (mobile) lines. but this is a business line so that I am forced (in my own home) to listen to these annoying scammers.

PS  USD is the international term for United States dollars, so that asking for USD5 would be requesting $5 (United States currency).  Probably some people react to the misleading USD "identification".  When I called, the person did not identify her company (SO RIGHT AWAY YOU KNOW SHE IS NOT LEGITIMATE!!).  Keep that in mind: a real company says: I am Mary Jones, calling from the Bank of England in London, England.
AND THE CALLER IDENTIFICATION would also read: "Bank of England" and not, for example, BOE.

Anyone with a cell phone getting a call marked "unavailable" or "WIRELESS CALLER" as so many of my calls are marked are prima facie (from the outset, from the get-go) SCAM CALLERS looking for your money or identification.

SCAM call. Silence, or failure to identify caller.  Other persons getting calls from 909.748.1313 report unauthorized losses of monies from their checking accounts.
On NO ACCOUNT give any information to this telephone number.

Rude, aggressive person from US Directory trying to get me to pay for a premium listing for my business.  When I said I didn't want it, the person raised their voice and continued to try tell me why I needed this listing.  When she started raising her voice, I hung up.  There was also a significant delay on the delay so it makes me think they are not in Redland, CA, but rather the call is being routed through from another country.

These people are calling from another country & can hardly speak English, report them to DNC & block them out.
There was a time when the telephone companies would snatch their phone #'s for unwanted calls, but I guess AT&T
& their cohorts are making money off these foreigners, so they won't stop them anymore, the FCC could put a stop to all these calls in 2 seconds by coming down hard on the phone companies....

Called me.  No message.  Assumed it was spam.

USD calls me regularly. Today they called on this #,whatever it is. When I have been sucker enough to answer, there is no one on the other end or some clicking, or my own sound coming through. I am uncertain of the details, because I get lots of unsolicited calls and I lump them altogether.

If anyone can tell me how to make them stop, please post everywhere.

No one responded when I answered our office phone. I set the phone on the desk and eventually heard a female say "Hello." Since the desk did not answer, she hung up. Thanks for the info here.

I received the same rude phone call.  He wanted to update my Google contact information for a fee even though it is already correct.  SCAM!!!

2 numbers showed up on my caller ID one was 909-748-1313 which went to auto hold then said good bye and the other was 905-440-0073 was a voicemail for Kimberly.

Constantly calls me on my cell phone. I've added a complaint to DNC list since this is quite an annoying A hole to continue calling me. In addition I do not answer my telephone and all unknown callers are automatically blocked.
