Just a different number from the same old scammers...

Probably some scammer.............will put on my call block list.

Number left on my caller ID. from 909 889 1362. I attempted to return the call 3 times and received a disconnect recording each time. 2-7-2014

they called but we didn't answer it since we didn't recognize this number. LOSERS!

Called and did not leave a message.  Probably a telemarketer or ??  Will put on my call block list.

they call me all the time, I'll usually just hit the # button until it disconnects or I'll just keep repeating take me off your calling list, take me off your calling list...  

I see they just called here.  Never heard a thing.

Received a call, then re-dialed and stated it is a disconnected number.  How can that be?

1.  They have voice mail connected to the phone with the greeting "This number has been disconnected."  Try it yourself for free to see if it works and how many people are fooled!

2.  The phone number on the calling party number ID is set up incorrectly or is spoofed.  Very easy to do with digital phone lines.  It's even easy to do with analog copper wire phone lines if the calling party has a private branch exchange.

3.  The call is coming from a phone outside of North America where the numbering plan includes numbers with more than 10 digits, but your phone or caller ID unit is set up for the limitations of the North American marketplace and can't display more than 10 digits.

My favorite is #1 because it costs nothing, requires no special equipment, and can fool almost anyone!  And, of course, because the original caller is able to confirm your number is a live number that can be sold to scammers at a premium.  That's one reason not to return calls to unknown numbers if the caller doesn't leave a message.

My blocker says they called again today.  Never heard a thing, and never will with the white list.  Call all you want [***]!

Looking at my Verizon call log, I see they tried "call bombing" me today.  Multiple calls from this number along with an  "unknown" call all within the same minute.  This is an attempt to get past Nomorobo.

It didn't work:).  We never heard a thing, and now that we're using a white list, we never will.  Only approved callers ring our phones.  

Called this morning but their call is blocked.  Said it was from San Bernardino, CA……..what a scam!

Call several times a week.  When I answer the call, a guy just keep say the name he's looking for not respond what i ask.  After I try to ask who is calling, he hang up.

28 August 2014 -- 12:36 pm -- Caller ID said "california".  No message was left.  Presume telemarketer or wrong number.

Several calls from this number, no message left.

As of today, I have changed my outgoing voicemail to a dis-connected recording, hoping that either the auto-dialer will detect the tone and remove me from their list, or that someone will actually pick-up, hear the recording and flag my number as inactive.

First call at 12:38 pm -she says I wanted her to call me back in a month, I said I never wanted you to call me, take me off your list and don't call again (angry) six minutes later a call from 909-711-4582, caller I.D again only says "California" I pick up the phone angry he says is this Miss S.? I said yeah, he asks me if I'm taking medication and did I take too much? I yell; take me off your list & don't call here anymore, he starts to say something else and I hang up. I would love to block these California Contractor people but they have too many numbers. I get at least one call a week, sometimes as many a four. I HATE THEM!!!
