- Grandpa/Grandma callsAfter answering call, caller responds with Hi Grandpa (or Grandma depending on who answers the phone), this is your grandson calling from a pay phone here in Georgia, I had to fly down here on an emergency but have ran out of money to get home and don't want my parents to know... etc.
- KnoxThis was a grandpa scam. When I was slow to speak, they disconnected the call.
- WhatzitLeft no message. So, thanks to previous posters reports, this number is now blocked.
- Caller: GEORGIA CALL
- Grandma callMy mother received a call saying this is your grandson and I went to a funeral last night and ended up in jail and asked if she had money to bail him out and not to tell anyone! That their attorney would be calling to make arrangements for $2200.00 and also gave her an arrest number to reference once the lawyer called. I took her phone once my other came into my room to tell me and another call followed shortly after with someone claiming to be a lawyer and was for legal aid....once I asked him who and to repeat his name and who he was he hung up.... People talk to your elderly family members or everyone to warn them of these dirt bag criminals that will be caught because they are stupid!
- Grandma callsAlso the caller that called her phone shortly after claiming he was a lawyer his phone number was all zero's
- Jack SchitteGod must love stupid people; He made so many

Fraudulent phone call. Male voice began: "Hi grandpa, did you hear about my truck?" - sandiThe i.d. said "Georgia call." I answered hell, hear noises like a call center, part of a woman's voice, a man in the background then nothing.
- Caller: Georgia Call
- BillThe best money I ever spent was for an answering machine that let's me monitor all my incoming calls. I very rarely pick up the phone unless the screen shows a name/number I know or someone I want to talk to starts to leave a message. Friends and family know enough to say something and if it's someone trying to sell me something -- thanks but no thanks.
- Caller: ??????
- DianeMy parents received a call purportedly from my son saying that he was in Georgia where he had traveled to attend a friend's mother's funeral. That he had had a car accident and broken his nose. That he had a blood alcohol level of 0.12 and had been jailed. (Oh, and don't worry, no one was hurt in the other car.) He asked them to tell no one, but that they would be receiving a phone call from the public defender and gave them his name (George Diaz) and the case number. They shortly received that phone call, but when my mother mentioned that she had heard of scams like this, he hung up. My parents didn't think the original caller really sounded like my son and asked him a few questions to help confirm that he wasn't -- when asked his middle name, he didn't reply.
- Caller: "George Diaz, Public Defender"
- nograndpaI received a call from this number. Called me grandpa and said his name was Mike. I paused, and he hung up. Earlier my wife had received a call from 212-910-8108 and called said "Hi grandma this is your oldest grandson." My wife asked who is my oldest grandson and he hung up. - Julie CagleThis person called my parents this morning claiming to be their grandson. He asked for my father by name and said he would know who he is and that it is Matthew his grandson. When my mother said my father (who is 80) does not take speak on the phone anymore he hung up. I then received a phone call from my mom asking if I had given birth to any boys named Matthew (she was laughing). Obviously trying to scam older people out of money.
- CallieMy mom received a call from 912-551-7925, they said "This is your grandson. Since the cal was from Georgia, she responded by using one of her grandson's names, of course the caller said YES :). He proceeded to say he had gone to a funeral in Georgia and had gotten in trouble and needed $$$$. When she said she couldn't help him, he sadly said ok. I'll call you back to let you know how things go.
>:( Scammers!- Caller: Georgia Call
- Jo-AnnMy mother in law received a call from this number, claiming to be her grandson. He asked if he could come and visit her. After realizing he wasn't who he said he was, she told him off. Hopefully other elderly people aren't gullible enough to fall for whatever it is he's looking for.
