- Dormer Collier| 2 repliesReceived a call saying they were Microsoft to fix my computer. Gained access to my computer. They clicked on my turbotax which would give the access to my bank information
- From KansasThis is a scam. I challenged them on everything they kept telling me was wrong with my machine and they ended up so confused they did not know what to say anymore. They told me I had a problem with my windows machine and I told them I did not have w windows machine so they said we mean your apple machine and I told them I did not have that either. At that point it was just fun to mess with them. Do not let them into your machine.
- SteveReceived a call from someone with very broken English, and was told there was a security update that was in error and he wanted me to type something in the command prompt. I asked him which security update was the problem and he could not answer the question.
- Caller: Microsoft Certified Technican
- christopherScam looking to hack pc
- adadslife| 1 replyMicrosoft scam ... Microsoft is so damn big that they do not have time to be calling everyone and their brother ... furthermore if I needed something from Microsoft I had to call them plus for any tech assistance I may need at the time they had no problem in charging me up my a$$ to talk with them. In short this is a identity theft at it's finest. They will download any and all information about you and your family and have them for sale on the black market in a matter of minutes. These call numbers are bogas since these crooks can't talk English.
Just remember if you do not recognize the number you don't have to answer it ... and for your own safety, don't be one of those stupid people and do a call back on a number you missed by stating to them "I missed a call from this number" Caller ID is for your protection, it is not there for you to call them. Remember if they don't leave you a message, it's not important.- Caller: Microsoft virus scam
- Call type: Telemarketer
- John| 1 replyCalled from 912-580-6716 with same Microsoft scam. East India broken English accent. Tired of these damn people calling, harassing us. That's it! No Mas! No More! Next week I'm purchasing an AIR HORN. And when they call I'm gonna have a lil surprise for them telemarketers.

- Silicon ValleyI do support and server management for a tech company here in Silicon Valley. I know a scam when I hear one. Said my Windows machine had a virus and they needed to access my machine. I flipped everyone of their questions back on them and had them flabbergasted. First time I got a telemarketer / scammer so frustrated that he hung up on me!
His accent is clearly from the Indian subcontinent and he was very pushy. I hope you read this BEFORE you have given them any information.- Caller: Claimed to be Microsoft
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Joy GARLANDScam, can not get them to quit calling!
- LlBAnswered phone....no answer on other end.
- Caller: ?
- TaeguReceived call today from this number, first I DO NOT ANSWER ANY NUMBER I DO NOT REGONIZE. I don't care if it's from a family member I don't have a number for or a vender I have done business for, if I don't know the number it don't get answered. If they don't leave a message on my answer machine the number WILL go on my Call Block system, I have a CPR Call blocker that I can store 1200 numbers for and my Panasonic Landline I can store 250 numbers in. If I can validate the number later I can always remove it from my call blocker. The best advice I can giveyou is Don't Answer numbers you don't know, that is exactly what they want even if they don't say anything, by answering you tell them you are available for calls....saying you are on the Do Not Register will do you no good, that system is for any Register Venders not for RoBo calls or Telemarketers, reporting the call to the FCC will do you no good either, they do not act on numbers that are not register to their system....so again ..... DO NOT ANSWER......

- BrookeThis guy from India at this number called with a very thick accent stating that he was from Microsoft regarding my "Windows computer". He said that his computer was telling him that my computer had not been receiving updates, was I aware of that. He said that was why I was getting viruses. I cut him off at that point and told him that I do not discuss sensitive matters with someone who randomly calls me & I hung up on him.
