I received a call from this number as well. William is right - it's a company that processes calls from jails and prisons.  If you stay on the line for a bit, you get the automated recording telling you that you have a collect call from ____ (caller says their name here).  BUT, be careful!! If you actually accept that call, you'll most likely see a HUGE amount billed to your phone.  The company does not tell you up front during the recording, but accepting the call is also accepting the charges - and the charges you're accepting are not necessarily from your phone carrier. They're from this company, & their charges can be astronomical.

I'm in Owensboro Kentucky and an inmate at the Daviess County Detention Center called me from this number.  The charges are pretty high but if you press 11 instead of just 1 you get a free 2 minute call.

I saw this unidentified number twice on my cell phone last night.  I usually call to see who was trying to call me, but I had a feeling that the area code was not worthy of my time.  Today I googled the number & am glad I did not acknowledge these calls.  This makes me furious.  I'm registered on a no-call list for both our 2 cell phones & land line.

It doesn't matter if you're on a "do not call list" since that's really just for telemarketers.  These calls are not from telemarketers.  Prisoners in the jails where these calls originate and often just randomly dial numbers until they get someone to accept and talk to them.  Or they think they remember their Aunt Louise's phone number but try different number patterns until they figure it out, ringing your phone and several others in the process.  What else do they have to do all day?  Just ignore the calls unless you want to speak to an inmate!

I got a call like this just a few minutes ago 7:05 Monday August 16, 2010.  At first I thought it was my stupid 19 year old druggie cousin who finally "goof'd" and got himself caught. But the guy had a really deep voice and talked like he WAS on drugs. I waited until the 27sec call cut off on its own and googled the number and ender up here.

Federal Law: No company, telemarketer, business of ANY kind CAN NOT CALL ANY CELL PHONE WITH A RECORDED MESSAGE....

There has to be an actual person on the call or they are violating Federal Law! If you people get ANY calls from ANYONE on your cell phone with a recording REPORT THEM AT ONCE TO THE FCC AND THE FDC! You can email your phone records to them and they WILL be fined up to $50,000 per call. THIS IS THE LAW AND A FACT...I HAVE TURNED IN SEVERAL OF THESE MORONS AND ALL WERE FINED AND NEVER CALLED AGAIN....

Recording left a partial message on my voicemail.  I called the company named Customer Service of America.  I asked what kind of company they were and she said they place calls for people in jail. She then asked if I was expecting a call from someone in jail.  I told her I didn't even know anyone in jail and she said they probably dialed the wrong number.

Just received a call supposedly from an inmate. When I checked online to view where it originated from it said it originated from Savannah, Georgia. It left a message on my cell phone answering machine wanting me to accept the charges.

Thats true...it is from lock up but the other day I got a call so I let it play through. It was from the local jail and it gave me the option to hear pricing for the call. It was going to be $1.50 for 5 minutes. The rates may vary based on location and facility. It didn't matter either way to me bc they called my cell and there is an automatic block. :)
