They've probably purchased a debt and try to use scare tactics similiar to these other companies that buy debt.  They like to ask for Human Resources to scare you into believing they can take your payroll.. bull

Said that they were calling to delegate a matter on my behalf. I must call TODAY or they would not be held responsible.

A company called Mid America Credit Reports called me from this # but the woman, Joy, left a toll free 866 number to call back.  The message was the best:  She asked me to call her back to avoid "action against my social security ".  Then received another call from her 20 minutes later from a different # asking me to call back to the same toll free # she left in the previous message.  I have never heard of these people before.

someone from this number called me and said they were from the credit bureau and they had an important matter to clear up.  It is not a credit bureau I am reporting them on fraud.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION THEY OR ANY ACCOUNT NUMBERS.  These are the kinds of companies that ask for checking account numbers/credit card numbers and steal from your accounts

I received a call from 913-322-3548 and my caller ID said Mid America Credit.  The recorded message that I must call in 24 hours or they would "delegate the matter".  I attempted to call the toll-free number they provided (866-317-6024) and the call was not able to go through.  I then attempted to call the 913 number but no one ever answered.

I get a weird recorded message saying that they have some document that I need to call them back about and I have a matter of days before they must act on it. But I've received this message over the course of a couple months now, so obviously they are full of it. Any business that doesn't ask for me by name and acts all covert about why it is calling me will be ignored. It is annoying that they keep calling though.

They keep calling me saying that they have some important documents that were filed in their office. They want me to call so they can clear this up. I don't know who they are.

I have paid this company in September of 2008, and I am now being contacted from another company called National Credit Adjusters. I am trying to get in touch with MidAmerica as I have a copy of my bank transation that this occured on. I have contacted the company they use called Pay My Bill and they have confirmed my transaction to them, in light of not being able to reach out to MidAmerica. National Credit Adjusters will not accept this as a statement, but that is a seperate issue. I have done the right thing in paying this off but now I am having problems proving it. It has been a complete head ache!

I am trying to reach MidAmerica to get a letter of proof that I paid, ( which I did persue when I paid this in 2008 off and on for a year, but never received after repeated promises from them!) Is this still a valid business? Or are they out of business? I have the following phone numbers and none of them work.

If there is anyone out there that is reading this and has valid contact information for them that you could provide I would appreciate it. Based on everything I am reading online it looks like it may not work out for me either way. I have written them a letter including my documentation and I am awaiting a response.

From every forum, website ect that I have seen it looks like all activity from this company ended about mid last year. That is definetly has be concerned.
