This morning we got two calls from a number that belongs to a debt collection agency called Phillips and Burns in Tampa Florida.  I Googled their number on my caller id and found dozens of complaints about them on the internet.  They were looking for a family member and when my wife told them we couldn't provide contact info they called her a liar.  I answered the second call and told them we couldn't provide contact info and the caller told me to stop lying and tell my wife to stop lying.  After reading the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act I now know that this debt collector is harassing us.  First, they are not allowed to call again on the same day after they speak to someone at a number.  Second, they are not allowed to contact a third party like us more than once.

This afternoon we got a call from the 913-752-9390 number looking for the same family member.  It's either an amazing coincidence or another office for Phillips and Burns.

913-752-9390 showed on the caller ID as Jesse Bird....this idiot called from another number a few days ago and it is in Illinois 847-505-0632 with the same name on the ID Jesse Bird.

These folks hide their real ID and call without identifying themselves which is against Fair Collection Practices as well.  One call came in at like 7 a.m.  and another late in the evening.  Both times violate the same law.  And they have the nerve to accuse you of lying?

They are looking at a nasty lawsuit.
