This number also called me but since I have blocked the area code of 914, it never rang in my home and was cut off immediately on their end.

Judging from similar numbers and cities from NY, it is most likely a call for donations for the police departments (which as per my local precinct, do not call for donations). However, an attempt to call it back from a blocked phone resulted in the number ringing a few times, then automatically disconnecting. Could also very well be a spoofed number.

Just rec'd call...no message left. Call was made from NYC  (Mt Kisco, NY) where many scams originate. I am blocking this call.

Just received a second call in two days from this number and it was immediately blocked. This time, I called it back which I don't normally do, from a blocked number, and a male voice answered hello. I recognized the voice from another time I called back on the pretense of a possible wrong number from another NY (Attica) number and he immediately started asking for police donations.  Apparently they are using different phone numbers with the same scam.  Do not answer or give any information or money. The police do not call  for money, if anything the PBA will mail you an official donation request.
