    They're a legitimate charity, so they're not constrained by the Do Not Call list; tell them to remove your number from their list.  If they continue to call, they can be in some trouble.

    I, too, have been receiving calls repeatedly from this number for weeks and today was before 9am.  Very annoying. Please stop calling and remove my number from your list. Thanks.

    These birds might CLAIM to be the March of Dimes. However, legitimate charities don't conceal their identities on the Caller ID-- also, they haven't yet figured out just how easy it would be to spoof the CID so it reads March of Dimes.  But then they'd need to remember who they claim to be calling for, when they're pretending to be some other 'charity' or pretending to lower your interest rates.

    Bottom line:  don't deal we these shady characters. If you want to donate to the March of Dimes or any legitimate charity, check them out first on CharityNavigator.org or with the Better Business Bureau at bbb.org.

    If it's the March of Dimes, as stated in the other notes, it's a charity and therefore exempt from DNC list restrictions.

    They're exempt until you tell them to stop calling you.  Then they MUST stop calling.

    I called back and it was the March of Dimes. They offer you the ability to remove your number from their auto dialer. However the route to have this done is a bit deceiving. When the recording asks if you'd like more information about them, press one. Then follow the prompts and you will be asked if you want your number removed. Continue following the prompts and they will remove your number. Good luck!

    To actually be removed from their auto dialer, see my info posted on Oct. 13, 2013. It will tell you how to stop the calls. As a legit charity (supposedly non-profit...HMM!) they are not required to follow the do not call list.

    You have to call the number - March of Dimes - press 3 to be removed from the list and follow the prompts. Hopefully this will stop it.

    READ READ READ

    800 notes.com Is only a site to document WHO is calling you.. posting information on this site does not put YOUR  number on a DO NOT CALL LIST.

    This number 914 294 2431 states they (probably a marketing firm for M.O.D) are the MARCH OF DIMES...
    If you don't want to receive calls from them...--->

    .PRESS 1 Listen to the message.. then you will have a option to press another number which indicates that you no longer want to receive calls from them... Then put in your number followed by # sign. Keep listening it will ask you to press another number to confirm hat they have recorded the correct number.. Your done.

    READ READ READ..---->
    The current law allows them ( Telemarketer or Charity) to take up to 30 days to get you removed from their list.. Write down the date and time every time they call during the first 30 days post placing your self on their DNC list , Count 30 days,( document all calls after the 30 days....for every call after 30 days you then can take legal recourse against the organization.

    Information direct from National Do Not Call registry website;
    Will All Telemarketing Calls Stop If I Register?
    If I register my number on the National Do Not Call Registry, will it stop all telemarketing calls?
    No. Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you’ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls. However, if you ask a company with which you have an existing business relationship to place your number on its own do-not-call list, it must honor your request.  You should keep a record of the date you make the request.

    Lastly...
    Document when you placed your number on the telemarketer or charities DNC list count 30 days ,,, then document each call after 30 days... then you have recourse against them.
