Unsolicited call.  Do not want this solicitation!

We are on the DO-NOT-CALL- list!!

Caller: MOD.  We are also on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY but continue to get unsolicited calls.

I had the MOD blocked, but they have a "new" number to harass us with.  This is the March of Dimes.  They claim to be a non-profit organization, but they are not.  I live for the day when we can reject, free of charge, no special equipment needed, these annoying calls.  Maybe we should not complain to the do not call, and write our congress people instead.  Emails I can mark as spam!  Why should I not be able to get rid of THESE annoying calls when I pay for this land line and email is free?

I've been receiving calls from 914-294-2543 AND 914-294-2224.  The ID just lists "Yonkers, NY".  They never leave a message.  What I don't get is if, in fact, it belongs to the March of Dimes, wouldn't you think they'd say so? If they don't identify themselves, I'm NEVER going to pick it up.  If they identify themselves, I'd be more likely to pick the phone up and if I can't help them, at least I'd tell them I'm unable to help at this time, thus saving myself the annoyance and them the need to continually robocall me..

The 914-294-2543 number has been calling us all hours of the day, up to 3 times a day. Never leave a message. I think I'm going to start answering and hanging up right away - presumably that'll increase their costs a bit. And if others do this we could make a serious dent! Beats trying to report them to any government agency - they sure couldn't care less!!

I have several calls from Area Code 914-294-2543 (& 2224, & 2395) - ID shows MOD - finally talked to a live person - Claims to be March of Dimes.  Asking for volunteers to handout flyers to neighbors in early 2013.  Explained we support local folks & charities only.  Also explained the ID should show March of Dimes not MOD.  I do not mind calls from charities.  However, we are on the Do Not Call List and are being inundated with bogus calls from Credit companies offering to lower our debt to debt collectors to callers that say nothing.

The reason a large portion of the people are having trouble with this number is because this number is being "Spoofed" by Delta Outsource Group, a collection agency located in O'Fallon, MO.  They will try and gather enough information to create an account.  Many bank accounts have been drained by this establishment and many "Spoofed" phone numbers have been fraudulently used to aquire information.
This not only hurts people by the harrassment, but also hurts the establishment that the number belongs to.

receive two to three calls a day from this number.  no one ever on line.  sometimes just let it ring.

When I'm not busy I will answer with.... "hello anonymous' & they hang up on me...... sheesh..  I just want to have a little fun.......  heh heh......
You can read from a book, bible or an instructional manual....... or just say hold on.......  & let it go...

Interesting, an organization (criminal) that can get some information from you by trickery and than go to your bank and take your money.     What ever happened to proofing you are the account holder?     Some silly little password SHOULD not be the key to withdrawing money from the bank at least over certain amounts or situations (the same banks who want my finger prints and blood sample before I can do a transaction), but allow someone in a third world country or other to access accounts.     This is just like the phone companies who claim they can do nothing to prevent fraud, etc.     [***]!!!    All of these scum bags are PROTECTED by your Congress (House & Senate), be a R or a D.     They are all the SAME and NO GOOD.

Don't blame the March of Dimes. Scammers can put anything they want on the CID and spoof the phone number too. Even 'legitimate' professional fundraisers get to keep most of what they raise and give just a small per cent to the actual charity.  Don't pick up the call. If you do and actually speak to a human being, don't give out (or confirm) any information.

Some newer phones have the ability to block incoming calls without going through telephone company - aka - no fees!.  It rings once, but then shuts up.  Don't know what the other end hears, but it's nice to have the call disappear like that.

I get a call from this number some three time in a day

I've been getting calls from 914-294-2543 almost daily the last few days.  MOD appears on the caller ID screen along with the number.  No message is ever left and I never pick up.

Been ongoing for a while from 914-294-2543. Never leave a message so I've just ignored their calls until today when they called at 5:00 a.m. and woke me up.

Now I'm on a mission lol...
