Total scam.  I got a call from this number, too, saying it was the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit against me...  never said which one of us at my phone # was the person being sued, just left this number for one of us to call back...  The IRS will NEVER make a phone call like this...  they ALWAYS send a letter via US mail first to let you know there is an issue you need to discuss with them.  I'm reporting the number to the IRS fraud unit and Federal Trade Commission today.  DON'T CALL AND CERTAINLY DON'T GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!

Yes just got a call from this number a few minutes ago.  This guy had a thick accent and claims he's from the IRS, he accused me of tax fraud and would have me arrested.  I knew immediately it was a scam, DID NOT give him any personal info, told him I'm reporting this number and hang up.

8/20/2015 - today call and say IRS  lawsuit against you ..etc etc etc . fortunately  i do not have problem with IRS  . and yes Government  always send a letter first , they do not call .

Got this call too.  I called the number back and someone answered who apparently didn't realize I was on the line and I could hear laughing and lots of foolishness going on in the background.  I said HELLO several times and then he said Oh Hello, this is the IRS.  He could barely speak English. I told him I did not believe for one minute that he worked for the IRS and he said "well hang up then!" and I did.

Did not know the number, so I let it go to voice mail. Person left a recorded message that they are the IRS. Obvoiusly a scam.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Phony Call From IRS

We got the same exact call.  Do NOT fall for this scam

Got the same call on 8/19 and they left the same IRS message.  I hope no one falls for these scams.  The IRS would NEVER call you.

Just got back from vacation and had 3 messages from these people that it was urgent I call them. So googled the number and thank all of you for your comments. Of course now I will not call back.
