- cmLeft message saying "this is your final notice the irs is filing lawsuits against you. Please call 914 357 4892 with your case number"..I didn't call them back. I don't owe them money and the irs is not going to call me with a final notice of anything...another phone scam trying to scare people.
- Caller: scam irs
- Linda| 1 replyI called the number and someone with a middle eastern accent answer the phone identifying himself as office or something of the Internal Revenue Service.
- cheryl replies to LindaI got the same call with the same story. When questioned they eventually hung up on me
- LMIRS Final notice, call immediately...left a computerized message.
- Derrick| 1 replyI also got exactly the same call from the same number (914-357-4892). Lady with an Indian accent. When I asked her title and the possibility of speaking to a supervisor to get better English translation, she told me that If I don't want to answer her questions I can just hang up. So I did ! She kept slurring the title of the agency, making it sound like it might be "Internet Revenue Service", so I kept pressing her to spell that first word, for clarity. She then started just spelling HER first name ! Rather comical in retrospect. IRS never starts anything like this with a random phone call to a cellphone, and as far as I know, is not headquartered in upstate New York ! These folks should all be rounded up and put in jail, but I guess they would have to first be extradited from their home countries !

- Baltimore TargetRecorded message supposedly from IRS as final call before they will take action against me.... they priovided a number to call back..... this is definitely a SCAM..... if the IRS wants something from me they need to send it in writing, otherwise this caller is dumber than I thought!
- Caller: from White Plains, NY
- Linda KJust received a recording from the IRS as final notice before suing. I'm an office manager who deals with IRS notices all the time for various issues with employees/companies and a letter is always their fist method of contact. I fear more for the elderly who won't know to google the number and will instead try to pay whatever bogus amount these scum tell them.
- Caller: IRS
- Call type: Debt collector
- TG replies to DerrickNot only that, but the IRS doesn't call. They send certified letters.
- TGI just received the exact same voice mail. IRS also uses 800 numbers. And they don't call people; they send certified letters for verification that you received their notice.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Judi F.We received the same call yesterday. I know the IRS will not call you, but will send certified letters, as many have stated. I will make sure my in-laws know about this, because they are more gullible than I am.
- Caller: "IRS"
- Call type: Debt collector
- DavidGot this same call from these weasels…they really need to be tracked down, arrested and prosecuted to tge fullest extent…where's Ed Snowden when we need him?
