scammer. Do not answer the phone!

Call from Reader Services.  23 minutes on phone continuously stating that I did not order any magazines and do not want them.  Assured that I would not be charged.  Now there is a $60 charge from them on my card.  Contacting attorney general to file complaint

I have called numerous at least 10  times to have my mothers phone # removed from the company who calls from this #.
get the recording that this # will be removed and then they call back again. I called after that 3 different times and zero'd out to speak to a person who told me they would remove her # from their system, but she has gotten at least 3 more since then. she has had at least 30 calls in the last 2 weeks and they were told to stop calling, they have some kind of magazine sales recording when you call them back.  we are not interested in ordering any magazines.  Want to know what I need to do to stop this harassment.

I got a call from this number on my cell. Since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer it. Looks like that was the right decision.

Magazine subscription companies are bad news. Do not agree to anything they ask, especially if they ask to record you. It is a trick. There is absolutely no reason to ever give them a credit card number to stop a service you don't already have, and there is no reason they should need to record any part of your conversation.

I do not answer and they call back 3~4 times simultaneously. ..they do this up to 5+ Times a day..insane..bill collectors don't even call you that much

They have been sendin magazines to the house we did not order and do not want !!!
We have tried to cancel thru the mag company &  they say that the subscription is paid for ???
We have no charge obn our card ???? But the still harrass us :(

my husband supposedly ordered some magazines a few years back that we had been paying on and told them we wanted them cancelled and didnt want them to begin with. they took out payments from our account for a while. husband lost his job almost a year ago hadnt heard from them in a while we had it paid off now they said it was automatically renewed and want more money. these are scammers how do i report them when i dont know who or what they are. i only have this phone number that they called from

These people have been bugging the hell out of me for years. They never stop. Why are they allowed to do this to people? What do you have to do for them to stop. Will they harrass me after I die? I wish they would give me there phone nuumber so I could call them at home all day and night and see how they like it.

Please consider buying a call blocking device for land line, app for cell phone. Make sure you get one that will block entire area codes. Scammers will call you from an area code & prefix, but will change the last four digits. I actually have 999 out of 1000 area codes blocked, with only my local area code free. Yes, the scammers do often spoof (fake) local area codes, but look at the amount that has been weeded out. Not for everyone but works for me.

So for a while now I thought it was me but this company is seriously shady as hell...I purchased magazines over 2 years ago where as I was "convinced" that if I paid off the remainder of the balance i'd be rid of the magazines. Well, needless to say, I keep getting calls about a "rewenal". After I read them their rights...they proceed to hang up after telling me that "i'd be taken off of their list. DO NOT DO BUSINESS OF ANY KIND WITH THESE PPL....NEVERTHELESS PROVIDE THE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO....SCAMMERS ELITE.

This company called claiming I ordered magazines several years ago and needed the credit card number to make sure my magazines wouldn't renew.  In order to do this, they wanted me to confirm my credit card number.  I did, but called the bank and cancelled the card immediately.  It is a SCAM.  They charge your card once a month without you knowing it if you give them your card.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD, and DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY.  They are lying.  It is a scam.

To go along with this, I remember being called by the company a year or so ago and thought everything was taken care of, that I wouldn't get more calls, that the "supposed magazines" (which I had cancelled a long time ago) would stop coming, but they didn't.  My advice:  If you fell into their trap as I did, cancel your card immediately and call the number provided.  I am also taking this to an attorney.  I wonder how long they've taken my money and others for no reason but to make their own dough by being lazy and making scam calls.

So back In the day, like four years ago. I paid some 300 dollars to get these guys to stop. They said I had to pay that amount to get out of the contract I had agreed to via a recorded convo. Anyways I was young and dumb I agreed and made sure to tell them I did not want to receive them anymore. Anyways that was done they said I'd continue to receive the magazines until the subscriptions ran out. It's been four years. I'm STILL receiving magazines and the magazines change all the time, it's gone from sports to playboy to off-road you name it I've gotten it. Anyways that card was cancelled years ago along with the entire account. I've checked with the credit bureas and there's no debt in my name or anything where a company is pulling money out of an account. One time they called I answered and got to speak to a manager and I asked "who's card are you charging for all these subscriptions?" They said yours sir. And I asked them for the card number or at least some information from it. And they refused said I could give a new card number to renew or verify my identity haha I refused of course and now just hang up as soon as I hear anything to do with them when answering. I suppose I'll continue to receive free magazines from this company until the day I die haha I've been donating them for years so I guess they are getting consumed somewhere down the line. Crazy though I can only assume some one out there is paying for this and it aint me! :(

Scotti, I had a company call me and make it appear they were with my Visa card. They had all my info. turned out they attempted to scam. Then after i raise hades, another one called me. I threatened a lawyer and BBB. I got a letter in the mail shortly after canceling.

Then, today, I get another number calling asking if I got my magazines SMH.

Got a call from this number. Someone was talking to someone else in the room instead of listening for an answer. Stupid people.

"Subscription Services." I made the mistake of ordering magazines from these people 10 years ago. The rates they told me really were reasonable, but at the end of the payment period, they kept charging me. Had my bank stop paying them. Then they called, threatening collection. I contacted my state's attorney general's office for consumer protection. They stopped them and fined them. Now they're calling me back. I keep a whistle in my desk drawer and blow it into the phone every time they call now.

I got a call from them today. I told them at least 3 times I did NOT any magazines. 15 minutes after I hung up $60 was taken from my account. I tried to call them back and just get out in hold and no one ever picks up. I canceled my card and have the bank looking into it so I can get my money back.
Just goes yo show you that if you don't know the number then don't answer it!!!!
