Called and left messages repeatedly.

Recorded message, does not ask for a sd pecific person simply states the IRS is filing a lawsuit  against me and wants me to immediately  call the number back.  Since I know that this has to be a scam, I ignore them  but they are persistent and continue calling using a different number

I just received the same call as user DISGUSTED did.  I have not called the number back, but certainly want to know what this is about.  What kind of scam could this possibly be?

Didn't answer call, but a voicemail was left.  First part of message cutoff because it's a robo call, but begins, "being filed against you.  To find out more information about this suit, call 914-499-8216, etc..."  These people must think I'm an idiot because this is the third different number I have received a call from making the same statement.  This is a scam.  If the IRS wants you, they will mail you, period.  The IRS doesn't inform people via the phone that they are taking action against them.  They have your address.

The call came from phone number 313-307-4195.  Caller ID: DETROIT
Message:  Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 914-499-8216.

I called the main number back from a Tracfone and it said something about "your survey has ended.  Press 9 to be removed from the list."  Then I called the 914 number but got a fast busy signal.  I was hoping to get a real person so I could eff with them.

I pity the elderly and mentally disabled who get suckered into scams like this.

Its a scam to get your money by telling you all sorts of terrible things will now happen to you because of some error on your income taxes.  However, they can make the whole thing go away if you just send them some money by untraceable means.  Usually a green dot money card or something similar.

Keeps calling me repeatedly saying I have a case number. How do I get on the no call list?

Left vm with no specific person addressed. Called back, male answered and had an accent wouldn't say what the call was about.

I have started getting the same calls.  I called back from another number, they answered "this is the internal revenue service how may I help you". I asked him "the internal revenue service of what"?  He wanted the number that received the call.  I said "no, thank you" and he hung up.  They call every couple of hours with a very threatening pitch.  Nutty.

just got call from [***] loser 914 499 8216 alleging he's IRS.
He's ISIS and Palin/TRUMP says they're going to break their legs, Etc

They claim to be IRS and telling me the IRS is suing me. Robo message and they tell you to call back. Several calls in two days.

Can these idiots be charged for claiming to be IRS?

Received same call 3 times this week from different numbers and when called both numbers one immediately hangs up and the other says you have reached a non working number

Called the number back because the message was cut off. Middle East dude answers and says IRS is suing me. Told him to get a real job and quit screwing with people cuz the IRS will never call. Kept asking questions so I told him to go back to whatever country he came from!

They called and i returned the call and called them all goat f***ers! I laughed at him when i heard the accent. I keep calling them now just to harass them as much as they do us!

Call from 914-499-8216.  Computerized voice message claiming to be IRS.  Says lawsuit being filed and to call 914-499-8216.

DNC won't work for these callers.  They are hard core Indian or Pakistani scammers and ignore all US laws.  Invest in a call blocker and do NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
