Scam. Left voicemail claiming to be IRS and IRS is suing me. (I've heard of this scam). I work for the government and this is not how IRS, or an enitity works...a government agency doesn't suddenly call citizens out of the blue to say they are suing them and never have contacted them before. IRS doesn't just go around suing citizens without first asking for your info, go over tax files, etc...So they wanted me to call back. Ummm, no. Why, so you can ask for my SSN & info? I'm reporting to my Attorney General, FTC, & Do No Call complaint as my # has been on DNC list for many years. Blocking this # but filing complaint.

Let me a message that I was being sued by the IRS and I needed to cal the 914-499-8218 before actions were taken. This is SCAM... I'm not sure what happens when you call that ph#  but do take a chance....

Bad advice if you're wanting peace and quiet on your end. Call back and expect more junk calls from their buddies. See what happens when the phone rings. Doubtful you'll hear anything other than a phone that rings.

IRS Scam. Jerks.

Claimed to be IRS suing me, Scam call on my cell phone. Deleted and blocked the number.

called stating IRS was suing me?  IRS does not work like that..

Just got a call  from same number told me it was the IRS me I need to call back cuz a member of my house hold is being sued is was from Armok  NY I do know that if u were being sued they usually with some kind of letter so yes it is a scam I did try to call the number back at first it did not connect hung up tried it again and 2nd time all it said wall all circus are busy please try your call later so yes it is a scam so please don't any one give any personal info out to any one on the other side of this number

got a recorded message from 1-914-499-8218 [IRS} about being sued. ????
do not know if real or not. let a number for me to call, but did not have pen to write it down. to quick to get number. ????

It said that the IRS was suing me and that I should call back.

This is a scam  Google IRS phone scams the IRS will never call they mail letters. This scam been on the news use common sense people they want your money they are Indians at a call center spoofing numbers report them to the cops.

Don't listen to their crap

Received a call from this number and heard a voice message indicating that I was going to be sued by the IRS. Later I actually picked up the call and went through a discussion about miscalculations done on my taxes, an audit was done and that I owed them over $6k. First off they couldn't tell me which year was incorrectly filed and then again they had my maiden name and didn't know my married name. The "supervisor" threaten for payment and then when I refused to do so, she stated that the law suit will go to my local sheriff for me to deal with. Only after speaking to a co-worker and checking the number online have I been able to relax.

Received the same call as the rest of these other people

2 calls.  Want me to call back. But didn't know what the first part of message was.  Thank you all for letting me know. Not to call !!!

I received a voice mail message from this phone number at my job. I figured it was a scam so I did not call back. The other comments on this site confirmed my suspicions. I wonder where did they get my work number? I very rarely give it out.

Only had last part of message "Our department at blah blah number" in a robo voice. Looked it up and found this site so thank you for the info! Something should really be done about these robo calls. I'm sick and fed up with them.

Scam ... do not return call and Block the number on your phone
