Yeah I got this call today.  Keep getting lots of calls lately don't want.

If March of Dimes probably looking for my grandmother who is dead as she was involved with March of Dimes a long time ago

but fact they don't leave messages or anything makes me wonder if someone scamming in the name of a well known Name

They called me twice. Yesterday they hung up. Today they explained they are the March of Dimes.

The number 914-740-1893 not only called and hung up when answered, is says MOD and when I call it back, they say its the March of Dimes.  Well I believe that telemarketers are not supposed to call your home before 9am, they called at 8:14am and my husband works late and sleeps in until 9am.  I want to report this number and be taken off their list. I would never donate to someone who hangs up on you and calls at the wrong times of the day. RUDE.

These MOD people need to quit calling me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!! Leave me alone already.  Don't pick up your phone if you see an area code that you don't recognize.    Please!!!!!

I contributed to MOD for years but will no longer do so.  Don't they know the rules?  They called at 8:04 this morning and left no message.  If they can't leave a message AND if they call before the allowed time, they are OFF my donation list!

Calling twice a day now, as early as 8:00 AM and leave no message. Very annoying!

For the past week we have been receiving this long distance call morning, noon & night. After 3 rings they hang up. It is very irritating when they don't even bother to leave a message.so they can be told to take us off their calling list or identify themselves.

Just got a call and didn't recoginize the number so I didn't pick up. The caller ID says: MOD and they left no message when I didn't pick up! THEY NEED TO STOP CALLING

They keep calling and calling.  will not leave a message.  I will be sure not to contribute to MOD if they just give my info to telemarketers.

They call up to 10 times a day and hang up just as soon as the phone picks up.

Recently began getting calls from this number at all hours beginning at 8 am and on weekends. Called the number and it is the March of Dimes - the automated system gives you no options to stop the calls. But if you go to their web site and click on the  "Privacy Policy" link at the bottom of the page ( http://www.marchofdimes.com/787_about_4076.asp?link=footer ) scrolling down to the very bottom of the page there is a link to opt out of telephone calls ( http://www.marchofdimes.com/aboutus/17879.asp ). Did it today and we'll see if it works. This is much to much work to have to do - and it puts the March of Dimes at the bottom of my charities list...

I just called the number back.
Select the option for more information & then wait for option 3 to be removed from list. You have to confirm your number and it may take 30 days to process.

Thank you! I completed the form, and I hope to put a stop to the numerous daily calls. We give to MOD through our neighborhood volunteers anyway.

Thank you for sharing this info. Unfortunately it sounds like the MOD is doing more harm than good. Just think of the expense this telemarketing firm is costing them - in admin costs and reputation.

Thanks for your info - will try the web-site.  I also called their number and pressed buttons until I heard an option re "if you would like for your number to be removed..." I did so and the response was that it may take up to 30 days for them to comply, but that they will try do so in about 2 or 3 days!
I will NEVER give another dime to the March of Dimes.

Thanks for posting the opt-out link. It's unfortunate that the March of Dimes has employed these sleazebag telemarketers to do their phone solicitations. I've nothing against the March Of Dimes, but they will never get another nickel from me. There are plenty of other worthy charities that don't use the same telemarketing tactics.
