March of dimes

Caller ID.....MOD.  Did not answer.  3 p.m. of a Sunday and 9-11!!!!   ???

MOD   i said hello.  they said hello as if they did not hear me. i said hello again and what is it that you want at which point they hung up on me.

I had a voicemail from this number - they said "hello" and then hung up.

They called two times this week...and once again a few hours ago.  I know this is supposed to be a reputable charity...  but I am on the do not call list.  They want me to deliver envelopes to the neighbors on my street asking for donations to March of Dimes.   Surely this is a worthwhile cause...but why do they use this method to solicit help?

They mean well, but the monies go to people who just make money, ceo's etc, did it two years and learned

Got a call from this number. Caller ID said MOD. I answered they hung up.

Repeated calls, left no msg.  I called this number and it is the March of Dimes.  Caller ID says MOD - probably so you'll pick up.

Caller ID says MOD.  The caller identified herself as March of Dimes and they were not seeking a charitable donation.  They wanted to send my elderly mother a packet of 15 postage-paid envelopes loaded with information for her to address and send to her neighbors soliciting donations.  My Mom did this a couple of times before and, instead of bothering her neighbors, she just sent MOD a check.  She keeps telling them NO, that she cannot do it any more, but they keep calling her back and are very insistent.  She doesn't like to be rude, but today she finally just hung up on them -- YAY!  

Because they are a charity, they are exempt from the government's do not call list.  However, I believe that if you ask them to stop contacting you, they must comply with your request.

My caller id said Anonymous. If it is March of Dimes why can't they put their name?

I received a call from Mod several days ago, stupidly I answered the call. Upon listening to the young lady explain the reason of the call, I advised her I was not interested and asked her to please not call my home again, and to enter my request into their data-base so as I would not receive any further calls......Guess what???????????? Since that 1st call and my request, I have received 7 calls since.
My request for "no further " calls went right over their empty brains.....So....the calls continue...........I will never, ever---ever donate money to this charity simply for the fact they totally blew my request off......showing just how much they actually care about the human factor..........Fools!!!!!!!!

I just got a call from that number and the caller ID read ANONYMOUS. Are they stupid or what? I never answer calls from people that don't identify themselves. Those charities make more money from selling their donors' lists than from actual donations. Once you give money to one of them, the following month you receive hundreds of requests by mail and by telephone. So, I'm becoming a scrooge and only donate to my church and the Salvation Army, who has never harassed me for money.

Called me, and I answered because at first glance i thought it said "MOM". I said hello twice, they didnt answer, and they hung up on me. weird.

This number called me twice in the last two weeks and did not leave a message.  I am on the Do Not Call List, but as previous reports to this site mention, if they are a legitimate charity, they are exempt from being blocked automatically.  How annoying!

I've had several calls from Anonymous.  Don't answer or pick up phone and lay it down immediately.

My wife gave to these clowns once and now they keep calling us. I'm considering taking a drive over to there office and punching one of them square in the face. Maybe then they'll stop bugging me.

User ID says MOD. Did not answer, left no message. At least 3 calls in the last week.

"MOD" No Message, just an annoying. Same CALLERID, different Number. If this is a Call from March Of Dimes, NO more donations ever!

I guess this is the March of Dimes. Didn't recognize MOD until I read it here. We let calls like that go to voicemail. If, as is stated by others here, they don't respond and hang up, I wonder what they're getting by calling? To see if people are home? If we're home and are screening our calls, how can they get any info from that?
