Many phone calls from this number and when I answer the call silence, very annoyed!

All these phone abusing turds need instant euthanasia.

No message left.  Got calls from "ID Watch" earlier in the day and suspect it is the same scammers.

Same here. Phone rings, number shows, silence.  Tried calling back, but silence there to (no ring tone, no connection).

Multiple calls & hangups.  What's the deal???

This number still calls but I've been blocking it for weeks since checking this site.  What's interesting is they apparently don't get feedback that they are blocked.  Call 2-3 times a day still.  Seriously considering how to find out how to block ALL calls except from people in my contacts list. The spammers and junk callers are all I get anymore.

You might not want to block ALL calls.  You still want to get the call when the hospital calls because your elderly mother is in the ER or your daughter calls from a borrowed phone because her car broke down and her phone is low-battery.

If the calls are coming to your cell phone you can assign ring tones to all of your contacts, then use the ring tone "silence" as your default for everyone else.  That will send everyone to Voicemail so you'll get messages from those emergency calls.

they said they were from firefighters and EMS.   I just hung up.   Didn't wait for their
pitch

I have ringtones assigned to contacts that I care about.  This and other spam calls are coming to my home phone.  Because spam calls are about all I receive on the home number (FIOS) I have the home number forward all calls to my cell (Verizon Wireless) and I block them there with 2 different apps.  And I probably wouldn't block all calls except those from my contacts, but I didn't even come up with that idea.  Plenty of others I've run across researching all these spam calls (and on call blocking app websites) want to block all calls.  I also have a silent ringtone for PITAs.

Since you're so smart, tell me how some blocked callers manage to leave voicemails?  I've had it happen with both NQ Call Blocker and Mr Number.  There's a local politician I have blocked and he still leaves me voicemail weekly.

In any case, I check numbers here before blocking.  If they're outside area codes and don't show up on this site and I can't determine who they are due to no voicemail and/or caller id, I automatically block them after the first call.

thats not how blocked calls work. they are blocked from ringing your phone...they obviously can not be blocked from actually calling you. thats why you still get voice mail. again, just to be clear...blocking a call simply means your phone wont ring...they can still leave a msg.

you can block specific numbers...you can block entire area codes (i have all 800 and 888 #s blocked), but all you can do is BLOCK them...to make them stop calling you is another matter entirely.

I usually don't pick up such calls but this time I did because I know a lot of people in the 914 area code.  When I answered it disconnected.  When I called back to hopefully speak to a human who could remove me from their call list, all I got was "Your call is very important to us.  Please stay on the line and you'll be transferred to the next available agent" followed by classical piano music.  I stayed on the line while this message repeated; eventually a different voice said "Goodbye."
