They called and hung up when answering machine came on, search says they are google update. We don't bother picking up phone if number is not recognized, and if they don't leave a message then they are losers.

I actually answered the call from this number and they just hung up. They don't say anything, there's only a moment of hesitation and then they hang up.

I keep getting calls on my unlisted residential telephone that has been on the federal do not call list since it first started. They play a recording. Since they do these two federal crimes frequently, they cannot be trusted. Do not do business with them. They call from different numbers so that if you block the last one they can bother you with this one. They claim to be able to revise my google listing. If I wanted to revise my listing, I would use the URL google supplied to me to get the listing in the first place.I suspect that if you "press one new" you will get a hefty extra charge on your telephone bill.

I forgot to say that they say "update of your free google listing" and not "free update of your google listing." This is how they can charge you and not face legal actions or be required to refund your money.

I called them back to find out this is a google voice number.  I left a nasty message.  They are hiding behind google voice and abusing the google system.

my number has been on the do not call list since 2004.  i suggest everyone file a complaint.

If you have call forwarding features (like on Verizon Digital Voice), than forward this jerk to 717-338-2533.  That's the FCC Director's office phone.  Maybe the FCC will finally do their job when they start getting the annoying calls.

annoying jerks should be arrested for harrassment!!! Constant calls, no one on the other end speaks, then they'll hang up! Where's the FCC???????????

True they just come up with different numbers.  I have note on my computer with some of the numbers.
This was a new one today - I added it to list:
915 996 9379 Unknown Name, 915 966 2895, 832 367 2345 Windows?, 253 882 9041 Local Placement, 859 740 2384 UnKnown, 760 705 8888 Unknown, 405 4126-1899 YMCA OKC, 619 704 2766 UnKnown, etc.
I am beginning to recognize some of the area code and check before I answer- If on list or close to list I just don't answer.   I try to always post on the boards so their is a record of this companies abuse.

Doubt it does any good but I will continue to post.

these arrogant callers from this number are abusive. they tried to force me to buy advertising on a so called google ad. i don't know the connection between google and these people, but it cant be good. the caller then asked to speak to my wife. he ot her one the phone and it went from all business to outright sexual harassment. he inquired to if she had nice nipples, the shape of her breast & if she shaved her pubic area. by the time I got to the phone, he had hung up. I tried numerous times to callback this number. we reported this action to the phone company, our lawyer & to the local police department. our lawyer has started a class action lawsuit to go after this person as well as the company he represents. we pray for his redemption and hope he is able to get help.

Call claimed it was from Google and I should press one if I wanted this number listed as a a google emergency number

We received a phone call from this number.  The pre-recorded message said it was Google calling.  The unsolicited call's recorded message wanted us to update our personal information.  I have searched the internet to see discover Google is using personal phone numbers to gather such information, but have found nothing.

I am afraid that the name "Google" will fool some folks.  My husband hung up on them.

Didn't answer... put it in here real quick... I swear, I'm thinking of just getting rid of my phones... this is all there is anymore... real stuff is all done via email.
