This number keeps calling me and when I call to find out who it is I get a recording saying sorry we only meant to contact business numbers, dial 1 to unsubsribe.

Is this a phone scam? Are they attempting to piggy back my number for long distance calls?

I got a call too... on my friggin cell.  Didn't answer it, won't answer it.  Should I report it to BELL?

This is the famous car warranty phone scam... simply ignore and don't give them your credit card number.

I reside in Southern Ontario.
PreRecorded message states that it is my 2ND Warning stating that my auto warranty is (about to?) expired.

I don't own a vehicle.

This is the second call I've gotten, the first call stated that it was my first warning, but it came from tel #: 949-256-9160 (Orange County Area Code) whereas this call is from CA, USA. Basically the same.

Statements made by people who have received the call from the latter # claim that they've been asked about credit card #'s. This is definitely FRAUD of some kind. Hang up, don't give ANY INFORMATION!

this is a phone scam. Just press number 2, its suppose to remove your number. This same place called my cell phone and my husbands cell phone. It a company I believe based in California...says its about your car warranty. A car dealership would never call you this way.

I just got a call 5 minutes ago - I beleive this is a scam.  This site is great for looking into suspicious numbers that call you - I will definitely be using it more often.

I just noticed a missed call on my phone.  I generally will not answer a phone number I don't reconize anyways.

I got a call on mine too - something about a Car Warranty - I just let it go to the voice mail.

No...it doesn't stop at 2 calls. Eventually, you get a message saying its the FINAL call.....but it isn't. They just keep calling. Just got a call on my personal cell, then, an hour later, on my work cell!!! Go figure! These guys are a real pain in the a$$!!!

I'm noticing a pattern with these Southwestern American scammers - they tend to be calling b/t 5 and 7 Pm (E.S.T.) weeknights.

Got the call about an hour ago. Not the first one I receive. It's the third one within the last 10 days. The first two, the caller's number was blocked. Today, I just missed the call, but there was a caller ID. The first two were a prerecorded message about car warranty. I hung up as soon as I heard the recording.

And supposedly ALL cell phone numbers were released to telemarketers here in Canada, guess we can thank maw Bell for that one!  Yes THE AUTOMATED VOICE is trying to terrify you that your car warranty is at an end.

This # called mu home few times in the last couple weeks, and first time my new cell about a week ago, day before yesterday, and now again 10 min ago.  Never talked to anyone, but same msg as on my home phone that "my car warrenty is expired".  Right!

I just talked to one of the 'representatives' and yelled at them. the lady simply told me that she would remove my phone number from the list. it's the second time they call my phone and they have called all of my friends as well.

I had a missed call from this number...they called before regarding car warranties....I do not even own a car...it is a scam from California.

Same here. Just missed the call on my work cell, which was just activated last week so there's no way anyone would have it. I see from the times on the messages on here that it's just starting today.

The main concern is that it does not madder what carrier you are on everyone in canada will be getting these call. Not one carrier is at falt they are bound by the privacy act and can not sell anyones info( this apllies to cellular subscibers).

Second type of these calls today....did not answer, no msg left...I live in Alberta.
