Just recived a voice mail from this number.  I think it's a scam as they were threatening me with arresting me if I didn't pay up a debt.

I talked to them my self they wanted my lawyers number and said oh you are going to be arrested tomorrow I'm military and I work in the jag office that crap didn't work

they called my boyfriend and said they were going to come arrest him if he didn't pay a bill he didn't even owe. I called the number and a foreigner answered, said it was the law office of Russell Miller. I looked them up every which way, there is no attorney with that name practicing in that area of California. It is the Sacramento area code, California's state capital. It's also a VoIP phone which makes it pretty impossible to trace.

Got eight phone calls from this place.  A guy claimed to be an attorney in California and was sending police to arrest me within 30 minutes if I didn't pay a hefty sum.  I questioned him about what the extradition policy was in California since I work within the court system where I live and we don't do what he says.  I had him on hold and told him I was going to do some research on him.  I then hung up after keeping him on hold ten minutes and coming to the conclusion it was a scam.  While I had him on hold I had two phone calls from that number beep in on call waiting.  Sheesh what a way to start the new year

It's hard but not impossible to trace. If enough effort is put into finding them, they can be dragged out of their boiler rooms.

Got a call from this number--they also called my office number, which I don't work at since I work at client's homes.  When I called back got person who said he was attorney and there was a lawsuit against me and I was going to be arrested.  The minute he said that I knew it was a scam--I told him so and also said I would report him to the FTC and FBI which I recommend  everyone do.

Rec's 2 calls this AM, A person with very poor English skills stated I had 3 warrants outstanding and I must call Mark Victor at the same number to get this straightened out. My call to them went unanswered. Since I've never been arrested - warrnted or charged with anything - this sure sounds like a scam.

I got the same threating call but he said his name was Phillip author and he wanted me to stay on the phone with him until I went and wired money to him. So my lawyer called and spoke with him as soon as she told him who she was he told her to go f her self and hung up.

I received several today from this number. The gentlemen on the phone said his name was Edward Maxwell. I needed to have my attorney call him to settle this matter before 6:30pm. He also said he turned my case over to the attorney general in pennsylvania.  he threatened to have me arrested at my job.I called my attorney generals office. They had no record of my case. I had to file a complaint.

This indian guy calls at least 2 times a month saying he is a lawyer or fbi agent and i would be arrested for not paying on a bill. i traced him down, but he uses throw away phones. i want him.

Harrassment needs to end! They are suggesting that I am to be arrested if I do not comply with their request.  They will not provide information regarding this debt.  I requested a certified letter to document the outstanding debt, who it is with, when, etc.

Yea, just got a call(first one) from some person I couldn't even understand.....Go back to where you came from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Think I heard legal in there some where!

After half a dozen calls without a message, he left one claiming to be "Tony Frank Mossy" from the State Attorney's office. Says he knows my name and that three complaints against my name and social security number.

These people call me ten times a day on my cell and two or three times a day at my job. They claim I have a outstanding payday loan I got online and have a few hours to repay it before I will be tracked down and arrested on a warrant. Nevermind the fact that I have no checking account to have recieved said loan by wire. Oh, and his name is always common like Mark Brown or Alex Matthews and he pronounces my name Yoshi! FBI has a profile on these ppl, I have checked it out.

I received a call from this number who was stating they are a law firm and that I have a suit being filed against me for a payday loan that I don't have and that I was going to be arrested the next day at my work and be extradited to the state of California if I don't pay them over $3,000. He refused to give me any information regarding who this Payday company is.  He also stated that I wrote a check, which I do NOT have checks, that came back and that an ACH was tried at my bank and came back insufficient funds. You could not understand anything he was saying.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Thank you so much. I read the site and contacted the FBI, PA State Atty General's Office and FTC.  I also contacted my FCU and spoke with a Fraud investigator and credit reporting agencies.  They put Fraud alerts on everything.  I also contacted my employer.

Good for you. The more people that are educated about this scam, the faster they can be shut down.

They have been calling for 3 weeks I finally called today and he said I have 3 criminal cases going to court today. I asked what they were for he placed me on hold came back and said let me read you the affidavit I ask what court was this through he started yelling at me then hung up on me...Cannot understand anything these guys say they have very heavy accents from India Region and are RUDE!!! I have notified everyone like the previous post stated to and hope everything turns out ok...Little do they know I am a nurse and i have had my background checked 3 times this week for different jobs so I know there are no criminal charges on me...WHAT JERKS!!

called me and said that the police was on the way to my work to arrest me that i had a warrant out of california and they were going to exterdite me if i didnt pay back this loan that i never recived wow things ppl will do to try and rob u blind if any one knows who i can call to have this taken care of plz leave me a message telling me what u did to resolve this thank u
