I called the number back.  It's AT&T Customer Service doing a survey.  They give you a different number to call back and complete the survey.

I picked up a new phone last week at an AT&T store.  This will be the call where they ask me if everything went well or not.

I'm on the Do Not Call list, but since I do business with them they can call me anyway.

Just bought a phone at AT&T too so guess that's why they called.  And didn't leave a message.  I'll answer it next time and tell them the customer service was fine until they start calling for surveys!

Same thing- just got a new ATT cell phone!

Just got a new phone Sun., got the phone call Wed.

I was called twice tonight by 1-919-313-4200 when I answered no one said anything so I called back and got a recording for a survey, in which I didn't answer their recorded survey I am also on the do not call list.
What kind of way is this to run a  business

This 916-313-4200 is NOT AT&T!   Do not call it back or call the number they tell you to.  I just got off the phone with AT&T and this not thier number or even a registered ATT number!

If this is NOT ATT then ATT is certainly involved/responsible in some way.  Otherwise, how is it that these people are managing to call everyone who just bought and ATT cell phone?

Did anyone else here happen to buy their phone from the ATT shop in Auburn, CA?

I too just bought an AT&T cell phone on Sunday and they called me here on Tuesday.  I answered but no one was there... I called the number and it said thanks for calling the AT&T Customer Satisfaction line... it then gave me this number to call to complete a survey 800-882-9484.

I get calls from this number and it says ATT across the top.  They do not leave a message.  I have no reason to get a call from them on my land line.  I think it is so rude. Now I see I am not alone. Thanks. I'm not picking it up.

I also Bought Phone Yesterday But I got it at the Gurnee IL. store  And I to received a call today.
This has to be an AT&T intiated call! I did not answer but checked the number on google search and read these posts.

I got two calls tonight 8 minutes apart, no voicemail... and we just switched phones and plans last night at AT&T. Makes sense they would be calling... but why my "home" phone??

We also just got new phones on Thursday, but in So. Oregon.  We got two calls on Friday, one in the morning, the other in the evening.  I was woken up by another call earlier this morning.  I picked up the phone last night and said "hello" three times and was about to hang up when it sounded like someone was coming on the line.  They ended up hanging up.  This is annoying!

I got two calls from this phone number 916-313-4200. They didn't leave a message. I don't know anyone in the 916 area code. When I saw the caller id where the last part of the number was "4200", I figured it must be from a business phone number. Then I googled the phone number and saw this page and other similar pages that said this was for a AT&T survey for people who bought an AT&T cell phone. Goddamn telemarketer survey takers. What a bunch of no good scum they all are.

Good God, the call was coming in to my Skype telephone number on my laptop. I don't have an AT&T cell phone. I have a Skype phone number on my laptop and if I don't answer on my laptop then the call get forwarded to my cell phone which is NOT an AT&T cell phone. What the hill is wrong with these people?!?!

Fortunately, I'm able to put a block on the 916-313-4200 survey number via Skype. And I should not get anymore of their idiotic intrusive phone calls anymore. Telemarketers should all go to hell.

I got a call from them today, but I didn't get it before it went to the answering machine, and I decided to call it back. Got the AT&T customer feedback message but didn't call them.

The funny thing: I didn't buy a phone, but I went into the store to buy a charger. I wish I would have answered... AT&T customer service in their stores SUCKS! I dread any time I have to actually go in there! Sorry, wrong forum!

hey guys listen i dont know if u guys recently just bought phones from at&t but i kno that me or no one in my family didn't. All of you are reporting the same EXACT telephone number. Anyway now they recently just started calling my home and something is fishy i say hello numerous times and no one responds they probably recording us. What do we all have in common? I am from New Jersey

2nd time in the last couple months I've gotten a call from them.  I have an AT&T wireless account, but haven't been to a store in a couple of years.  Someone is using my land line # on their wireless account, but I got the run around when trying to find out how to get my number off their call list.  I finally got a real person and asked to be referred to their security or fraud division and was transferred to a printing company in South Bend.  Bunch of crap.  I had tried to call the local store directly, but you can't get through to them, only to the main number.

916-313-4200 called a few times today. Didn't realize until just now after reading the reviews. That my brother just also bought a cell phone from ATT yesterday. That's really darn stupid and I'm pissed that there calling my home phone. I hope it does not continue. I have not answered. And will not.

What happens is that ATT hires a company that makes these calls and they keep calling even if you tell them to take your number of ther list. Thats how they get paid buy the volume of calls. If you have a Public Service Commission like we do in New York put in a complaint. It should stop.Or call one of thoses TV reporters that investigates this crap.
