I always expect unsolicited phone calls as Bill Collectors. In this case They started off asking for "your name". Then, they want to certify that you are who you are, and ask for your DOB, "last four", or one more that I can't remember.

I gave my DOB, and the lady said it didn't correspond with their records (nice try!), so give them one of the other answers (very sly!) It is obvious that if the first two don't correspond, then they will have all three answers.

I said that one was the only one they were going to get: She politely terminated the call!

These are Stupid Bill Collectors... The ones that work for an hourly pay check. Stupid or Smart they must comply with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and that is to Make Sure the 'Debtor' is Identified before giving your legal or illegal 'Talk Off...' Most of the not so sharp ones just don't know how to go about giving the Bill Collector Miranda Warning without tipping off the debtor their about to be given the Big Demand... Most savvy people these days are busy running the number by Google and with all the ID theft surely won't give out information that can be used to further screw up their credit... The real key if you can't pay, don't talk to them. If you can, the Commissioned Bill Collector hasn't any problem throwing the client under the bus and taking a quick settlement for a pretty big discount. If this happens, you will have to stand your ground and insist on sending a check with a Conditional Endorsement... Should one of the few really sharp collectors contact you, don't play game with he or she, even though they are all about making money fast, they have a million ways they can make your life miserable... again, avoid them. The other ones like we read about through this message board, seem not to care about Money and would rather play, call say nothing - that really collects a lot of money... And when I catch one of these lazy clowns in my bus... they are Gone...  Have Fun

The caller ID is  Sacramento  DA. TRYING TO scare you into calling back

Have had three calls from this number in the last 4 days. They never leave a voicemail. What kind of idiots don't leave a voicemail?? How the heck am I supposed to even know who's calling without a voicemail?? I smell either a scammer or a junk debt buyer who buys old debt for pennies on the dollar looking to make a quick buck. Well I got news for them...Ive waited out numerous people like them...I waited one out for 3 months and they stopped calling so I can wait these idiots out too. They need to find a less annoying profession....its like swatting at a mosquito that doesnt want to go away.

Well....Convergent Outsourcing is trying again....and this time they seem to have slipped past my call block. What the heck?? Im not paying them....whoever they are. I waited out one junk debt buyer for THREE months...I can wait out anyone. Nice try losers!!

They called...again. How the heck they're getting around my call block apps I dont know but they are. The ONLY one they havent side stepped is the one built into the phone. Does ANYONE know how jerks like this get around external call block apps? I am getting REALLY tired of these morons!!

Keep getting call for husband on my phone from this number. She won't leave a message and I'm not giving her husbands phone number. The other day I think same person or company called my phone and they were trying to get my husband to give them his SS number.
He would not. Please make it so they don't call again. And she won't tell me who she is or why she's calling.

Hung up when call went to voice message. Not a number I recognize.

This is not a bill collector because I do not owe on any bills.  This is someone looking for your personal information so that can use your identity or access your assets in some way.

Received a call. Didn’t leave a msg. I called it back as I have a friend in the hospital and wasn’t sure if they were trying to call me. They asked me for my birthday and I just gave the most th and day but did not give the year. She said she HAD TO HAVE the year. I told her that was all that I was going to provide and if it matches then I’m that person. I asked what the call was about and she said it is a personal matter. Told her if she can’t tell me what it was then we e nd this conversation and she said ok. Instead of hanging up she stayed on the phone for10 minutes. I just put her on mute and enjoyed my drive to the hospital.
